^^(without singling out em2) be nice if people posted specifics of what they like even if you do have broad tastes, its rather vague just to say "you like bit of everything".
But I *do* like a bit of everything (except classical)!

If you want me to name names:

^^good! sorry wasn't singling you out, just it helps when people are more specific - people these days always say a bit of everything, but it doesn't really communicate much. you have some good bands in there that I like too! some of them I haven't listened to in a while, makes me wanna go and dig them out!

...I can see that if you don't actively take an interest in music, but trust me there is a lot of good new music out there! I think someone mentioned 6music here, but its good place to start listening for pointers.

I also read pitchfork and used to read stylus before it stylus before it closed (preferred stylus). I guess it depends on how much of an interest you have in music, I probs take it more seriously than a lot of people here - actively hunting down stuff!

Oh, I agree there's definately been some good stuff, just a lot of crap to go with it. I do listen to 6 Music every now and again, though I find I tend to listen to BBC 7 more

The Streets
Pendulum
Hadouken!
Fatboy Slim
Red Hot Chilli Peppers

But I like Dubstep/electronic/DnB as well

Nero

Cookie Monsta
Koan Sound
Tek-one

Into the late 90s/early 2000s, Eurotrance. When the radio was on Galaxy or Hallam FM as a 7 year old you take it in, can't remember many song names though. Stuff like Eric Prydz, Lasgo, Faithless, Sonique, Alice Dee-Jay, Ian Van Dahl...
