I'm hoping for more MAN or ADL E300's & some midi E200's which the area needs.I wonder if Guildford will get some Oxfordshire E200s. 36765 (OU62) is a good one imo, and the SN63s are not too bad either.
It doesn't 'need' any of them, the last MANs were a disaster, will probably be E200s & maybe some re-licensed Darts, I would think that Stagecoach would want to minimise vehicle types.I'm hoping for more MAN or ADL E300's & some midi E200's which the area needs.
Alright, but Midi E200's are a good idea for tighter routes or Solos ETC.It doesn't 'need' any of them, the last MANs were a disaster, will probably be E200s & maybe some re-licensed Darts, I would think that Stagecoach would want to minimise vehicle types.
Just noticed today that Artington P + R has had the height restriction bar on the left side of the car park removed.
The only route at Peasmarsh that is really suitable for short vehicles is the 81 Woking to Barnsbury, which big buses can’t really get around (as demonstrated last week when Barnsbury was unserved for around 9 days as both Solos were off the road, with longer buses in use and only serving the main A320). So while some more reliable short vehicles for that would be ideal, as it’s not a completely rare issue sadly, certainly everything else Peasmarsh does is probably more suited to longer vehicles. Particularly with the reduced frequencies expected in January due to the driver shortage. The exception is perhaps the 39A-C/40 shopper routes which would be fine with shorter vehicles capacity wise, but operationally they interwork with the 690 school route and logistically logical to keep that way.Alright, but Midi E200's are a good idea for tighter routes or Solos ETC.

The problem with having too many deckers at Peasmarsh is that they are too tall to be accommodated in the depot building, so certain things require them to have to go to Aldershot. Therefore the more they have, the harder keeping them all on the road would be.I think Guildford could do with some more double deckers for the busiest routes, maybe more Scania E400s or Dennis Trident 2s. Personally, the 1/2 could as a result fully run with DDs (imo the busiest Stagecoach Guildford route), with the currently branded SL64 E200s displaced for the ex Arriva routes as well as already Stagecoach run routes like 65 and 70. The 1/2 could maybe run with ex Gloucester VX62 Scania E400s, if there's enough spare ones.
Not to mention the fixed costs of keeping them on the road - insurance, maintenance, fuel...The problem with having too many deckers at Peasmarsh is that they are too tall to be accommodated in the depot building, so certain things require them to have to go to Aldershot. If we do get double deck transfers it's very likely not going to be Guildford because some buses are being transferred to Guildford within the Stagecoach South fleet. It will most likely be Chichester, Worthing or Basingstoke, etc.I think Guildford could do with some more double deckers for the busiest routes, maybe more Scania E400s or Dennis Trident 2s. The irony is that if you survey the UK Stagecoach fleet, there are a sizeable number of Tridents in reserve/out of use, (A few older E400/E40H as well),The problem with having too many deckers at Peasmarsh is that they are too tall to be accommodated in the depot building, so certain things require them to have to go to Aldershot. 27524/6/8 (ADL E300s) should also be on their way down from Fife shortly.
Ex Stagecoach Gold too which is nice to see.Very nice to see the GX06 Transbus E300s return south!
CORRECTION: They're not GX06s and not Transbus either. But either way, nice to see more Euro 4 E300s in Guildford! Would love to have that or a GX58 on the 63!
Update: It seems Andover based 27835 has been transferred to Guildford.

I think its very likely to see these on long routes such as the 34/35, 53/63 & 65.

Yeah for me I like the Basingstoke based ones & the fact that the E300 is My favourite busThe Chichester 51 GX13s (27838-27843) are also a good batch, mind you.
But the best are the GX58s, followed by the GX10/GX60s.
Alright, is there any news of transfers from other divisions? As at 8pm this evening, Artington Park & Ride had the following 11 buses parked up: -
27564 ex Basingstoke
27651 ex Chichester
27658 ex Worthing
27833 ex Andover
27835 ex Andover
27836 ex Chichester
36435 ex Aldershot
36436
36835
36839
36840 ex Basingstoke
They looked like they had all recently been through the wash, (my records for previous depots not 100% guaranteed).
These 3 are based at arbroath (27526/8 were the longest being there since 2012) but haven't been used since last month. They were also put on private plates for a short period this year27524/6/8 (ADL E300s) should also be on their way down from Fife shortly.
Well, Stagecoach have now taken over Arriva's operations.
Let's see how it goes for them.
I see the same thing too. :vNo buses currently track on bustimes.org, I wonder why.
