Not sure there'd be any point in doing the 319s, as I believe Northern want rid of them as soon as they can get hold of enough 323s.
I know that some 319s still have the First Capital Connect moquette but the rest of the interior is in Northern spec, the decision to replace them with 323s must have been during their refurbishment.

Yes. Porterbrook originally refused to agree to lease the 323s to Northern beyond the end of 2020 because they thought West Midlands would want the whole fleet, so until mid-2020 the plan was that the 323s would be leaving to be replaced (strangely, in a backwards sort of way) by the much older 319s. (The decision to keep the 323s was quite sudden and resulted in a rush to get them upgraded to meet accessibility requirements).

By the time it became clear the 323s didn't need to go anywhere (and could be joined by the rest of the WM fleet), they had, per the 'old' plan, secured a long lease on the 319s and had them refurbished to their spec.

Also with the new seat covers done are 195007 & 009. Seat covers will be changed on the 158s when the 195/331s are finished.

Interestingly I've just been on a Northern 158 (850) which played the old Wessex Trains/Wales & West 'Welcome Aboard' safety announcement (the woman heard on the TfW trains and stations); it even followed the standard auto Northern announcement listing the stops. I didn't think any ex-Wales & Borders Northern 158s retained this announcement!

There's a couple that still do (not intentionally though). The old auto announcer system hasn't been isolated, though it was an oversight on works rather than a deliberate choice.

Ex EMR 156401 has entered traffic with Northern today, still with East Midlands interior & livery working with 150104 on Kirkby - Blackburn’s. It’s not showing on RTTs allocations, however just search for 150104 and that brings up it’s workings.

It's on both 158867 and 868 as well.

I'm sure 319372 has also had it's previous First Capital Connect rubber floor replaced earlier in the year with the blue and white Northern vinyl non-slip flooring.
