It really does look dire. If they're bothered about 'red white and blue" then just stick the double arrow in a white background and give it a blue border. Job done.
No, it's from a Daily Mail article (see the final post on the previous page) and a trademark registrationThat is from on here, I think @JaJaWa made it.
The 1960's called, they want their logo back.Looks like I was right:-

I thought it looked familiar. It's interesting that it's from the 60s
Typical DM "Patriotic" clap-crap
That’s a monstrosity created by taking an antiquated BR livery from the 20th century and slapping an unbearably clashing red NR sign on top.Slightly off topic but this seems to be the place to discuss GBR at present. Interesting mock up doublearrow on Twitter just posted:
XP22? Interesting (if a little nostalgic) take on the Great British Railways brand provided by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (http://imeche.org) presumably using a GWR IET as a starting point…

Im a big fan of a return to blue and grey. The specific shade of blue was used as it hide brake dust and dirt more than other coloursSlightly off topic but this seems to be the place to discuss GBR at present. Interesting mock up doublearrow on Twitter just posted:

And yet looks good with a bit of colour on it! Always liked the dark blue favoured by most European railways.
TrueThat's because cleaning wasn't high on BR's agenda in the 70s.
Glad it's not just me who thinks that!Yeuch!
This would work better with just the red or just the gray.Slightly off topic but this seems to be the place to discuss GBR at present. Interesting mock up doublearrow on Twitter just posted:

A friend has just described the Union Jack double arrow symbol in the Daily Mail as a Brexit swastika which made me chuckle.
Looks like I was right:-

Railway 'double arrow' symbol is set for a patriotic makeover
The new red, white and blue logo is for the launch of Great British Railways, which will oversee the train system. The public body will take over from Network Rail by the end of 2023.www.dailymail.co.uk
