Ah sorry, looks like my memory gave them the benefit of the doubt . Remind me not to trust adverts on the side of buses!

The railway is a service for the public not a magic money tree for foreign train profiteers to subsidise there own systems.

I entirely agree with that principle. The only problem is that, in practice, it's been foreign railways subsidising our trains. And the only owning group which has really made any profits in recent years is FirstGroup, which is of course Scottish.

Don’t start me on politics I have given up there, I have written to my local council my MP and Richi himself about how I pay my inflated bills with a 3% rise in my pension. No response from any of them I think they all have the same attitude to poor people as Quentin Letts .See Twitter he said on GMTV today “I am fed up with having to pay tax to support poor people” Sorry if I am going of topic a bit, but a new thread about Letts would probably be very interesting
but I don’t think this forum is the right place for it if I wrote something about him it would have to go on after 9PM

Many have interpreted that (rightly or wrongly) as all of the £350 million that supposedly previously went to the EU instead being available to be spent on the NHS.

However, think we are drifting off topic as regards ticket anomalies/possible price savings on High Wycombe->Bexhill journeys.

3% rise in your pension is a 3% bigger rise than lots of people have had in their pay.... and thats before NI increases.
