I need to travel EUS-MAN next month

Outbound on Fri 27 Aug has no standard advance tickets on any service (first are available) and seat reservations

Inbound on Mon 30 Aug has no advance tickets of any kind, and no reservable seats on any service.

Would (more) advance tickets be available on the Friday, or have they genuinely sold out for every train of the day this far in advance?

Also would reservable seats become available on the Monday? I assume this is due to the bank holiday timetable not being finalised yet?

I sent in a web form to Avanti who said all trains on Monday are sold out, which seems like someone has decided copy and pasting is easier than doing their job today :)

Great, thanks. Do you know when that might be confirmed?
Well, it was supposed to be today but it's been pushed back apparently.
I'm in the same boat but in the opposite direction.
Just keep checking and keep an eye on Avanti's Twitter feed. edit- sign up for ticket alerts too.

If you don't mind the longer journey times, then don't forget there is a "West Midlands/London Northwestern & TfW only" fare available for London to Manchester.

£45 for an off-peak return or £35 for super offpeak return with more time restrictions.

August Bank Holiday Friday is always extremely busy so while there is a chance of more Advance tickets becoming available it is quite possible that they won't.
