It then follows the line of the Bathgate and Coatbridge Railway
It then follows the line of the North British Railway Coatbridge Branch Line
It then follows the line of the City of Glasgow Union Railway
It then follows the line of the G&SWR Paisley Canal Line...via Shields (1885-1924)
It then follows the line of the Glasgow, Paisley, Kilmarnock and Ayr Railway...via the Montgreenan loop line
It then follows the line of the G&SWR Mauchline to Ayr Line
It then follows the line of the Maidens and Dunure Light Railway
It then follows the line of the Girvan and Portpatrick Junction Railway
It then follows the line of the Portpatrick and Wigtownshire Joint Railway
It then follows the line of the Wigtownshire Railway Whithorn Branch Line
The journey ends at the closed station of Whithorn

The first closed station on this journey is Airdrie Hallcraig Street

Wikipedia has an article on Arbuckle station in which the history box at the foot of the article clearly states that Arbuckle was preceded by Rawyards and followed by Whiterigg.

There was mention made in an railway magazine article that I read many years ago which mentioned that Arbuckle was situated at the meeting point where the Ballochney Railway met the Slamannan Railway, but I cannot seem to be able to now recall it.
