was also last day that stagecoach have monopoly in carlisle cos reays start running busses on monday. should be interesting. bit of competition might be a good thing. wonder if it will happen in workington and whitehaven next.

No new buses in Reays Wigton Depot tonight. I don't really see any opportunity for an Indy's to run services in Workington/Whitehaven.

As cainebj said earlier, three Volvo Oly failures on 300 today. These being 16651, 16652 (failed on 301 near Aspatria) and 16653 (fixed by CE and put back on the same slot). 20436 also went on 301.

Lol ours are fine so once they are given some attention and a rest I'd hope they would be alright lol. Hopefully they'll move anyway.

Apparently 18366 had turned up at ME from KL with a dead engine. KL deckers are dropping like flies!!!

Has 18364 arrived back at ME as Kendal have finished there summer 555's
and also chesterfield have recieved all there scanias so Morecambe's scanias should not be long now

I think KL are running extra 555's into the beginning of September? I could be wrong...

I imagine that if 18366 needs a lot of work 18364 wont return to ME until 18366 is fixed.

Our scanias should be here very soon then!

Extra 555s finish when schools go back (obviously), but I imagine there'll be a few extras Monday/Tuesday, with them finishing Tuesday night.
Then the buses will be serviced Wednesday, ready for the little angels on Thursday.

They finish on friday i thought it was the friday just gone when the stopped it

You could well be right, I don't know much about the extra 555s I'm afraid.

All I can tell you is that I board the first 556 of the day to Lancaster at 0725 and catch the 1620 556 back to Milnthorpe!

16647 is thought to be replacing 18364 as 16184's replacement, with broken 16185 still awaiting a replacement (if anything, leaving KL short on spare deckers). it seems unlikely 16185 will return to Kendal, but you never know with Stagecoach!

Glad to hear it, I would hope 16185 goes to Preston displacing an Oly to KL or something but we'll see!

Yes, Frenchwood' only long wheel based versions are 16642/5, although these carry tacho's. 16352 along with 16184 are the only non-tacho Olympians at Frenchwood. 16328 could possibly return to Cumbria although it now carries Ribble legals.

We will soon see, I can see a lot of Vol Olys going into KL as it seems to be the biggest Leyland strong hold but we'll see what happens! It could be that all Leylands leave service in the NW by the end of the year!!!

Last day of Voly operated 300 tomorrow... End of an era, well, sort of. Good riddance.

Reays operated 95 begins tomorrow morning along with Telfords operated 680 and Stacey's operated 79/101. I'll be through for a nosey at what vehicles are out on these services,

Just been wondering what vehicles LL will use on 300 tomorrow, 16651/2 failed on Saturday, as did 16653 which was given a quick fix by CE Depot. Two tacho'd buses also needed for 600...

just been told by forum member rosswatson that non-tacho'd 20195 has ventured onto 300 after one of the Volvo Oly's that packed up on saturday, has packed up today. if LL had tacho'd up the same number of buses as they'd withdrawn, this problem wouldn't have happened obviously. gone from 6 tacho'd B10Ms to 3 tacho'd B10M's and a useless tacho'd MAN. with 20436 expected to be withdrawn in October, a good few more buses need tacho'd up ASAP!
also, 22824 is sat at Carlisle bus station awaiting its return to Morecambe.

and un-related to Stagecoach, Reays have cancelled their school work routes from West Cumbria to Keswick School, after a serious lack of passenger take up!

20918 went onto 51 at 1200, while 34079 (which wasn't running late) went and sat on the annexe.

47062 displays have gone silly again. One LED light in the top corner, on each of the three displays, only showing. Rear display was like this, this morning.
