Well, I hope for the sake of others, you're never in a position to have any influence on how people do things for those with disabilities. To say that it ruins the liveries is an outrageous thing to say - and one you may regret if you ever should find your own eyesight failing in years to come.
Also, how do you know how that person got to the station in the first place? Maybe they got a lift, a taxi or spent hours walking along the street - what concern is it of yours? So, they struggled to get to the station and can certainly struggle a bit more to find the door. And what about those damned wheelchair spaces that take up value spaces for people who can walk... (sorry, I'll stop now as I know it will turn into a 1,000 word rant!).
Ok, on this occasion, I maybe being a bit harsh; I'm not anti-disability in terms of measures taken to do with anything, I just wonder why this hadn't happened in the days of Intercity, ICE trains etc; have they received complaints because people couldn't see the door or the hole in the train? Maybe they have for all I know, it was just a point that I wonder how much difference it really makes.
Ok everyone, on the door issue I stand corrected on TGV's; my memory of them failed me and I had a tail between the legs moment when I saw the pics and realised they've been like that for years!
