I also suspect that the height issue at Keswick cainebj knows about will be the reason for 16184s departure, and presumably 16185 when it gets an engine.

thats if that bridge is an issue for them! i've got a feeling the height restriction is 14'10, which i believe is the height of them Palatine's! could be a bit tight taking them through! (they've both been seen on the 555 down Lancaster end, but i've never heard of one being seen on 555 at Keswick end!)
havn't been near that bridge for quite a while now, with it being on the way into Keswick for 555 (and TransCumbria from Penrith). i havn't been to that side of the town.

I've just had one of my radical thoughts! It's the Kendal Calling music festival this weekend at Penrith, so I wonder if that's where the reinstated Leylands and SchoolRunners are going?

I also suspect that the height issue at Keswick cainebj knows about will be the reason for 16184s departure, and presumably 16185 when it gets an engine.

That makes sense! But also what Jonesy said about them running extra 555's between Milnthorpe and Kendal.

The X12 service is 50/50 at the moment they are having meetings with the council and the university about subsidising the service if it gets the go ahead.

Been in and around Penrith this morning.

Both Solo's of 77/77A.

Some general SC Midlands news:

Just to confirm that two batches of single decks are due within the next few months:

For Services 9/9A allocated to Northampton, (displacing MAN 14.240 39694-39700) 27681-27686 6x ADL Enviro 300 on ADL chassis. Some of us assumed they may be Env 200s. They arrive for service in October.

For service 48 allocated to Nuneaton, 36153-36176, 24x ADL Enviro 200 again on ADL chassis. They displace Dart SLFs of varous vintages but most 53 and 54 plates. It seems some ex-London V-reg are still used too.

It appears that the displaced Darts will have plenty to occupy them, not least in Northampton where mileage looks likely to significantly rise from September 20th.

It is also clear that MAN has fallen out of favour with Stagecoach.

Hope thats of interest

seems Stagecoach are starting to move away from MANs like! one of the Scottish depot's having a Wright bodied Volvo B7RLE on demo, to test for performance and efficiency!!! i've heard that particular one has a 6 speed ZF fully auto gearbox (the other option is a 4 speed Voith), which would be better for longer routes Stagecoach have!

47024 on 3.
47059 on 4.
47617 on 1.
35247 on 2.
35249 and 20901 on 31A.
20905 on 30 and 31.
16447 on 300.
20903 on short 300.
20910 and 20436 on evening 301's.
20130 on 22.
20918 on 51.
47617 and 47005 on 47.
47062 on Harrington.

wonder which one went on then! usually buses from 600 on evening 301's. 600's being 20436 and 20994.
forgot to add before that 20959 was on the 600 to Frizington.
22600 was on 30 and 31.

KL's 33173 has lost its Bright Tech LED display unit in favour of a Bright Tech Dot Matrix! so thats 33161 and 33173 that have gone backwards rather than forwards!

47059's rather wonky front LED

Will not be getting any money from the Council, expect to see it though from January 2011, The three Versas will not be coming

From the amount of ex-GTL darts regaining dot matrix displays, am I correct in thinking that the North West is due some newer darts?

I'm back!!! Glad to be back in a place where buses keep to a timetable lol.

My word what a week to miss! It seems every things happened at once!!

I agree, i've been away too and everything seems top happen when your away  including all 11 E300's out in force in West Cumbria :o a while since that has happened!

I hope 34079 starts working again, even though I hate it! - Oh I knew it wouldn't be long -> NO, 33169 your NOT coming back into service!!

Glad to here the LL's Scania's are 'very' close then, and if they are going to be put into service with immediate effect, i'm thinking 10' reg at this stage. The later we get into August and still no sign then possibly consider 60'. Will see when the first one arrives then!! And yes, poor Leyland Oly's :(

17017 to LL/Res = Intresting...
47474 to LL/Res = Like a bloody boomerang!
