Help with international staff travel

Hi everyone .First post and hoping someone can help!
I want to go and see England play Switzerland in Basel.This is my first trip and have found it can be a bit complicated!
I have a FIP card and i have applied for free travel vouchers on the French state railway and the Swis state and private railway.

I know i need to get reduced rate travel on Eurostar but what i need to know is how to get travel on the TVG from Paris to Basel ?

Thanks i found that website yesterday.
I called d/bahn today and got everything sorted.
Free coupons are not valid on TVG apparently.:cry:
I got a return for £84.00 i feel quite pleased with it,
although it would probably have been cheaper to fly lol

I've never tried this myself but would it be possible to purchase a priv from Switzerland to the first French Station then use your free coupon for the rest of the journey? In fact I've used a free coupon from Basel SNCF to Paris all it cost was a few €€€s for the seat reservation. I don't think the train was a TGV but it was a fast express.

From what i can gather if the journey starts and ends in France coupons are accepted on TGV ie Mulhouse to Paris
But i didnt know this

When was the rules changed on Free travel? It's a long while now but when I last used the TGV from Paris To Lille I only had to pay a supplement, which was quite reasonable!

I think the restrictions just apply to international journeys on TGVs. You can check out the www.atoc.org/rst website.

Ffestiniog Travel ( http://www.festtravel.co.uk/ ) might be able to advise you. They are specialists in continental rail travel and can do 'tailor made' trips or 'ticket only' trips as well as organized tours. Might be worth a phone call or e-mail.

Vauchers should be valid onboard a TGV and all you need is a reservation. I did Lille to Paris on a vaucher once becouse VIP onboard Thalys wasn't available any more for that day. You might want to contact SNCF and ask them. As your Swiss I don't think there should be a language problem.

Update.
First class single Man Picc to Stoke on trent, Heart of England 3 in 7 ranger, First class single Milton Keynes to Eus.
Two days later.
First class Single Eus to Milton Keynes.3 in 7 ranger, first class single Stoke to Man picc.
Total fare £36.
Return St Pancras to Basel £84.00 (didnt know what i was doing lol).
Hope they play like they did last night
And hope i get some food in first class!
