Firstly I would go for park and rides for Lincoln (Cherry Willingham and Washingborough) ) and Boston (Hubberts Bridge and Sibsey). This might mean doubling the Poacher line service to half hourly so once an hour all stops for park & ride, the other limited stop for those travelling further. Frequency gets people, out of cars as we all know.

These new services from Boston could be routed alternately to Peterborough at Sleaford for faster service to London and to Doncaster for better connections to the north.

Re openings on existing lines ought to be Donington and Gosberton.

This i reckon would have a dramatic effect on rail possibilities in southern Lincs

Some good ideas

My idea was hourly limited stop so Skegness, Waiflete, Boston, Heckington, Sleaford, Grantham etc to Nottingham The other service ALL stops, but perhaps diverted at Sleaford to give a direct service to either Lincoln?
There`s also a growing community at Greylees outside Sleaford, lots of new houses. i have noticed that now there is an additional early morning stop there it does pick up several pax every morning and there is a case for more stops but this of course slows down the service. Liner speed between Sleaford and where the line joins the Nottingham line is painful at a constant 50 mph. If this could be raised to 60 mph then maybe additional stops could be accommodated?

Think a service to Lincoln is needed I would have a Lincoln to Skegness service every hour along side the hourly Skegness to Nottingham service.

Agreed, only in that case I would extend to Doncaster for connections to the north. Connections at Grantham going north are lamentable. Many only serve Leeds so often it is necessary, after a long wait taker a train from Grantham to Newark, wait again for a train north. I only live 20 miles as the crow flies from Newark but this way it can be well over 2 hours after leaving home I am still on a platform at Newark waiting for an Edinburgh train. That is not going to get people out of their cars. the present, hourly service along the Poacher line tries to be all things to all people and doesn`t always succeed. More frequencies would many positive aspects. During the franchising period I spoke to one of those leading one of the biding teams who were actively considering this but they didn`t win sadly. Probably too expensive ?
