i wondered what rolling stock they will use for the Birmingham MS-Kings Norton Camp Hill Line Shuttle......But will Class 230s be a good idea......Or they will use 196s instead?
But they have that already on Bedford to Bletchley?I imagine it will depend on the eventual service pattern, but (NOT a criticism of 230s) I can't see WMT wanting a microfleet of any sort.
Yes i know they already have that in Bletchley to Bedford, but looks like you misunderstood what i mean, what i mean is that WMT can order extra 230s for Camp Hill Line as well as NUneaton-Coventry-Kenilworth-LEamington line to free up 172s from the latter to SHL for extra capacityBut they have that already on Bedford to Bletchley?
That makes more senseYes i know they already have that in Bletchley to Bedford, but looks like you misunderstood what i mean, what i mean is that WMT can order extra 230s for Camp Hill Line as well as NUneaton-Coventry-Kenilworth-LEamington line to free up 172s from the latter to SHL for extra capacity
Camp Hill services won't be self contained, they will likely be extensions of Shrewsbury services so 230s would be useless.Yes i know they already have that in Bletchley to Bedford, but looks like you misunderstood what i mean, what i mean is that WMT can order extra 230s for Camp Hill Line as well as NUneaton-Coventry-Kenilworth-LEamington line to free up 172s from the latter to SHL for extra capacity
Shrewsbury? I thought these would begin at Moor St?Camp Hill services won't be self contained, they will likely be extensions of Shrewsbury services so 230s would be useless.
How can they get to Moor St? The Camp Hill line doesnt connect to it, the proposed chords are years away. The line isnt electrified either.Shrewsbury? I thought these would begin at Moor St?
Would this line be wired? Or pointless given it ends at Bromsgrove?
And the chords towards Nuneaton don't need wires either, which I know is mentioned for relocating services from New St.
Proposed new junctions in the Bordesley area.I can't see how you'd get from Moor Street to the Camp Hill lines?
