For what benefit? what are you trying to achieve by doing it?Was wondering if it will be good to introduce HSTs in Chiltern Mainline....
XC may receive the ex LNER HSTs for extra capacity........No, they are going for scrap now.
That’s been done to death on here already.XC may receive the ex LNER HSTs for extra capacity........
They almost certainly won’t. I think you need to be realistic here, there are numerous other threads about XC, and no one seriously expects any more HSTs.XC may receive the ex LNER HSTs for extra capacity........

But you started this discussion about Chiltern, and I’m betting they’ll never see any HSTs either.
Yes, and all covered in existing threads, and completely irrelevant to Chiltern getting HSTs.I heard that XC may get 222s from EMR as extra capacity....... But I think XC can get 221s from Avanti......
HSTs are rapidly becoming the new 442s.
What the CML ideally needs most is electrification
That it does. All London commuter routes should be electrified. Then you'd use Aventra type stock for locals and 397 type stock for IC.
Does Chiltern want old worn out trains?
Love popping this question. The answers to which normally reveal a strong desire to have ready made unsuitable solutions to non existent public problems in order to satisfy a personal desire to maintain a halt to the industry's ever modernising rolling stock procurement splurge in nostalgic perpetuety. For what benefit? what are you trying to achieve by doing it?
