The biggest mistake people make in life is that they sometimes believe a degree is the be all and end all. Trust me it is not.
Well done. You could probably use it to get an apprenticeship in replacement for GCSEs in English. I’ve got a couple of L3 certificates and I’ve not noticed they make a difference. I hit the impression I’d still have got them even if I didn’t submit any evidence to be honest too. Was t convinced they are held in much regard.I’ve just achieved my Level 2 Literacy Functional skills I’m proper buzzing at the moment are you more likely to get recognised for a job having a Level 2
I do agree. C.Eng is essential for certain engineering jobs and that is virtually impossible without a degree. However, some of the best teachers I have ever known do not have degrees. No way could I have got where I am without a minimum of a BSc .It depends what subject it is though. Having no qualifications won't get you very far if you want to go into engineering. Although given the misuse of the term "engineer" in our country maybe not!

Exactly. In university it is touted as the be all and end all. Oh he/she is a PhD- in fact the whole department are. So what? Having a PhD means one is extremely knowledgeable but one could also be a lousy teacher.Being knowledgable in a subject does not mean one is a good teacher of it. Teaching requires skills beyond a good knowledge of the subject.
