I was meaning to let you know, but there should be a Chorley based vehicle in Carlisle today with the Ribble Enthusiasts Club visit. If anyone sees it I would be interested to know if they have used a Scania. I couldn't make the trip myself this time due to the situation at home.

It should have been scania 15565, R.E.C Cumbira Tour on the blind...

by your description, its like how Barrow have their's (what a surprise, KL's and BA's displays being identical )

At dinner time today 50227 in Megabus livery was down at willowholme

47721 rolled up at Willowholme around 1530 follwed by the tow truck, lots of red oil covering its rear end.

It struck me this morning that the only Tridents I've seen on Preston services have been 2005 ones. I haven't seen an S reg on there for a little while. Not sure if this is a concious decision by SC or just the ways its worked out with allocations.

I was the same but i like taking S-reg ones an hopefully will get one today

I think the problem with the S reg ones is the gearbox and the 40/41 puts a lot of strain on them or something.

18327/63 were on the 40's this morning.

Aye. The S reg Tridents have 3-speed London gearboxes. The 40/1 involves a lot of high speed running, which the 'boxes just aren't designed for.

My point exactly. Some folks get on the 3 intending to get off at Common Garden but its often the case that the short 3 into town misses out Common Garden, obviously because nobody will get on just to go to the bus station. It isn't much more of a walk from outside the doctors but still. Some drivers put X3 on the blinds in the week as well when running short 3's.
