Good for them.
What’s unforgivable is that the people were asked a question, promised their answer would be implemented, and are still waiting for that 3.5 years on.
So it is OK if they destroy my life?

What is it you feel you will gain from Brexit?
For me the only way back for Labour is to accept Brexit, and there are some signs they might do so.
For me personally? Lower rents and the rental market being less skewed in the landlord's favour in general.
It *is* definitely about rents, but also how tenants are treated over things like repairs.
And austerity since 2010 has cut local authority funding more than nearly everything else, along with capping of council tax. So many of them can do virtually nothing beyond their statutory duties in things such as social care. The Cameron government gave a certain amount of autonomy, but nowhere near reversing the cuts in power and funding going back to at least 1979, and plenty of places have missed out even on that.
I'm not aware of a plan to reduce immigration, which would be needed for the above to occur unless there was primary legislation on the matters you outline. So far as I know numbers would remain the same but would come from a wider range of places via the proposed points-based system.
Whether we like it or not, everyone needs to accept it, as now Bozza has his majority it will happen.
I will never accept it. NEVER!

The thing I find annoying is people have had 9 years of tory hardship and mismanagement yet they vote the same charlatans back in. Let's see who they try to pin their failings on.
Maybe they'll try to blame Labour economy mismanagement again, despite borrowing rising year on year yet austerity getting worse (no I don't believe Boris' election promises, I don't believe pathological liars).
Whether we like it or not, everyone needs to accept it, as now Bozza has his majority it will happen. And to be honest, it seems clear to me that this election was basically a second referendum and unlike the first one it went decisively in favour of Brexit, and furthermore decided what type of Brexit by giving a strong mandate to Bozza's deal.
It's not what I wanted, but this time round it seems very clear to me that it is what the majority wants - that's how it works.

It might be desirable to reduce net settlement in the U.K., and that will be a lot more achievable once free movement is ended.
However immigration (on a work permit type basis) will still be needed and, as you allude to, there is a chronic housing shortage, particularly in the South East, which needs to be addressed.
I'm not convinced immigration is needed, not on a large scale. It might be 'wanted' by the rich and powerful that own businesses, but that is not at all the same thing as 'needed'
Now that there is a large majority, there is no need to push through a hard Brexit as there is no longer a need to keep the ERG happy.
So it is OK if they destroy my life?
Can I ask what your concern is, and how you feel your life is going to be 'destroyed'?
I will lose free movement and thus won't be able to retire abroad.

Well for a start you don't know that, because lots of British people manage to retire to non EU countries.
Have you researched the new rules for the country you plan to retire to?
They don't have retirement visas. You need to have a previous connection to the country. Similarly to the UK.
And which country is this?
The Netherlands.

Let's see what happens. I'll be disappointed if rents aren't lower (in real terms) within 5 years of FoM ending.
Just as cold, wet, crowded and expensive as the UK AIUI so you might as well stay here in the UK !
The UK doesn't have anything like the same quality of cycling infrastructure or public transport. It also has stupid laws on drugs and euthanasia.
Everything that’s wrong with the Lords in one tweet:
Zac Goldsmith, what a story. Son of humble billionaire, at 23 made editor of a magazine (owned by his uncle), gets Tory nom for leafy London seat at 32, loses the seat twice in 3 years, (also losing London mayoral race). Elevated to the House of Lords. Truly, the British dream.
As ripe a case as could be made for reform or abolition.
