Northern 195 Diagrams

Other 195 starts.

So with the 0617 ex-Chester and 0715 ex-Ellesmere Port, I make that at least eight Chester-circuit diagrams 195-formed (out of nine). The only one unaccounted for, by my reckoning, is 0637 Leeds - Chester (0921 ex-Chester).

Quite right.
I aimed for the 0921 ex Chester today and found a 158 on the job.
Every other Chester service I passed was a 195.
Messy at Victoria though, with a "failed train" somewhere to the east, not sure what type.
Some cancellations on both NT and TP.
One eastbound TP managed to overtake its predecessor, to general irritation.

According to what I've got here, the 0617 Leeds - Manchester Victoria then does 0757 Manchester Victoria - Leeds (cancelled this morning), then 0938 Leeds - Chester.

Oh, sorry. I matched up the wrong one - 0617 ex Chester rather than Leeds replacing 195007. Anyway, upshot is that 195107 was added into the mix on the Calder Valley.

Elsewhere, 156451 has worked 1329 Manchester Airport to Barrow-in-Furness. The 0709 from Liverpool Lime Street to Manchester Oxford Road is being picked up by a single 3-car this week. The Wilmslow train was just 195114 this morning. 195106 was on Allerton having worked the 2143 from the Airport last night so maybe that couples up to 195114 later.

There are currently nine diagrams which do a Chester, and it's been consistently reported that the diagrams are going to remain as they are until the December timetable change, when the Chesters and the Man Vics are going to be split. After that, six diagrams will be sufficient to cover all the Chesters.
The current circuit is Leeds - Chester - Leeds - Man Vic - Leeds, which takes nine hours (= nine diagrams).

If the Chesters and Man Vics are split, that will cost a unit UNLESS the Chester service is interworked with another. Anyone know?

Both are booked 195s. Not often you hear of Bradford being chosen for an evening out

The driver training routes aren't indicative of where services will run, they are just paths picked where the units can shuttle back and forth ECS to amass the four hours practical handling needed on day six of the training course.
That's not to say the 195s won't be running on Leeds to Nottingham, but the handling doesn't need to be done on a route the units will be driven in service.

There was some dates published somewhere on this forum for 195s on Leeds Chester, York Blackpool, Leeds Lincoln/Nottingham. Cant find them. The Chester date turnout to be correct but there was some doubt on the other 2.

• 21/10 - 10 195s on Leeds - Chester services
• 11/11 - 8 195s on York - Blackpool services
• 15/12 - 10 195s on Leeds - Lincoln and Leeds - Nottingham services

Looks like York - Blackpool will also be 15/12 now.
