This might be tricky to answer but here goes. I have been recording train sightings since 2009 and am compiling a list of what I have seen - I do have Platform 5 books for 2009 and 2018 - and also trying to predict what may come up over the next few years. I have mainly spotted in Dorset, Hampshire, Devon and Cornwall. I am hoping to travel more in the U.K. and see many more classes of loco and unit.
Are there websites I could use to see what has disappeared since 2009 and also what is going to disappear soon. I guess some will cascade to other TOCs etc. And there are new classes appearing like the Azumas. I am trying to avoid compiling too big a list but want it to be accurate.
Sorry if this is a hard question to answer but appreciate any help.

313s, 507s, 508s - is there anything else PEP-based still out there?

The Coastway 313s will be replaced at some point but there are no specific plans, so they will presumably be the final PEPs in service?

I don’t think the 707s will actually be scrapped, although they may have to be modded to make them leaseable, eg toilets fitted and/or made AC capable.
Not sure about the 458s though. They could realistically be heading for an early grave at only 20 years old?

No way will stock only a few years old get scrapped. and given the class 701s are no doubt going to be late being introduced (like everything in the last few years) they will likely have more of a reprieve than you think

DRS are to get rid of their 20s and 37s but not as scrap, they are classed by DRS as heritage locos and the aim is to release them to preserved railways where possible, while retaining ownership I believe. The Freightliner 86s will all go when they can be replaced by the GA Class 90s, whether they go for scrap or for export is the only question

Let's not forget that with the most recent sale of 5 Class 60s by DBC that they will become the first of probably quite a few to be scrapped for spares

The 37s being scrapped wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing mind.

Why on earth would the 707s be withdrawn? They've only been in service for two years.

The 37's are remarkable or exceptional, especially exceptionally good. I wish the rails would provide me with more of these instead of spamming me with 150s

There were speculation they may possibly be withdrawn then scrapped as there has been no new home declared yet.

Just frustrating and also a bit of a kick in the teeth knowing that perfectly good and new units are potentially being scrapped when operators such as Transport for Wales have a chronic shortage of stock.
