How many times a week do 185s actually cover for the Scottish services since November 18?
Currently zero diagrams for 185 units on the WCML and there haven’t been any for quite a while.
If a 185 ends up in Glasgow on a Saturday night (but, generally, we presume, not on other nights) the implication is that there is still a diagram on either a Saturday or Sunday which uses a double 350 - otherwise, there would be no need to use a 185 on a regular basis, as described.
For details of how many 185s used to be used on the Scottish services, see post #47, above.
The Saturday/Sunday diagram has always been in as it releases a Class 350 for maintenance and maintains crew competence on Class 185's.
If you think it’s ok that Transpennine run shorter trains than they used to, and are now releasing stock before introducing new trains, I can only assume you’ve never tried travelling on their services and don’t realise how busy they are.
Have you read post#58?If you think it’s ok that Transpennine run shorter trains than they used to, and are now releasing stock before introducing new trains, I can only assume you’ve never tried travelling on their services and don’t realise how busy they are.
So they have 3 toilets?? Bit excessiveNo they haven't been refurbished. There are a few differences between /4s and /3s. An extra toilet and catering area in the /4 being the most obvious. 350/4s also have Speed set which the /3s don't have (or didn't have when new).

Surprised they have a catering area for a unit of that size
I have checked back to July 2015 and find that the standard formations at the time were as follows.
Fridays
Edinburgh: 3 DBL350, 1 SGL350
Glasgow: 2 SGL350, 2 SGL185
Saturdays
Edinburgh: 2 DBL350, 2 SGL350
Glasgow: 3 SGL350, 1 SGL185
Sundays
Edinburgh: 3 DBL350, 1 DBL185
Glasgow: 3 SGL350, 1 SGL185
Dropping the Wigan stop in favour of Northern would have no doubt culled a few numbers, but not enough to merit the close on 50% drop in capacity (on Edinburghs), I'm sure.
Incidentally, could anyone tell me why the Manchester to Edinburgh services are so much busier than those to Glasgow? This is something I've never understood, I mean, for instance, Virgin run far more trains to Glasgow than Edinburgh.

A couple of photos of the now-deliveried 350403 at Manchester Airport just now for anyone who's interested.
350403 back out in service today;

should go back the other way on;

So it presumably started the day as the front half of this..

..and then became all of this..

Good lord and I thought I was pedantic. Okay, in that case, "here's the now back in service 350403 which has been for repairs and in the process has had it's old livery taken off and has yet to have a new one applied except of course when it comes to the replacement parts which won't have had anything applied yet and so there's was nothing to remove."Not been deliveried, it's been at wolverton for repair and TPE don't see the point in putting vinyls back if it's going in a few months.
Much as it'll be welcome down South (that First Class!) I think TPE are utterly mad releasing 350s before the WCML EMUs are in service.
350401.
It doesn't need renumbering. But then why do the /2s start at 231 and the /3s at 368? On that basis the /4s should be 478-487!
There are a couple in post #72 earlier?Any pics of 403?
