having been on nearly all B10M's at LL, i have to say 777 and 779 are the best to ride on! 768 is sliding downwards rather quickly now

I was last aboard 768 on xmas eve (The same day i has my "experience" of that Marshall Dart... Cainebj & RossWatson know what i mean!!)... It sounded like either the propshaft or gearbox were on their last stand climbing calva brow!! it was wailing quite badly, and didn't have the turn of speed it used to have when first refurbed!

Also just noted 20753 on Maryport-Bridge 30... showing only "Barepot Footbridge" just to the left of the centre of it's bright-tech, and no number!! Odd to say the least, although it is a bright tech!!

20753 was showing "Workington & Footbridge" on the left side, with a load of blocks where it usually says "30" when i saw it!.
20923, 34616 and 35248 also on Maryport - Barepot 30. 34616's flip dots are working again.
47005, 47006 and 47007 on Harrington & 101. one of the drivers set displays to Harrington 46A at the footbridge.
16734 on Whitehaven - Workington 300.
20904 on Carlisle - Barepot 300.
34079 on 100.
35249 on annexe right now!

not sure what the workings will be in Whitehaven today for 31A and 2! 3 Darts are needed for them, but 3 of the 5 long ones are in Workington! Solo or Marshall on 2 perhaps? or B10M on 31A? or even Marshall / Solo on 31A (i've seen Marshalls on before!)?

The thing with me is that whenever i am in Preston, it is usually a quick fly in, pick up passengers and get sea sick over the potholes on the way out, so anything i see, is entirely by coincidence.. which is a bit of a bummer when things like today happen, cruising around the bus station at the dizzying 10mph, i noted a solo, i think it was 47754, but my memory isn't what it was, painted in Preston Bus livery, which is odd as it was last seen in Stagecoach colours, and a careful inspection made me realise it was actually repainted back into PB livery, well almost..

Let me describe it if i can.. in this** picture, if you take off all the green bits, and the advertising, and imagine the front bit off-white and the back bit being a slightly different blue, then you are close to it, it had that big PB logo on the top of the door, and a 'Preston Bus' in green under the CCTV at the rear, if i could have got a picture i would, but i needed to get to stand and drop off, and before i got a chance to get off the bus i noted it driving off behind me with Savick as the side blind..

Get those photos of PB vehicles in Stagecoach livery while you can!!

Just spotted a solo heading toward Lancaster showing "8 Lancaster" on the blinds. Not sure why, I assume the driver just make a mistake when setting it.

Can't believe I missed 16877 on the 2a today, would have liked a good look and a ride!

The chap who is usually on ticket duty in the underpass was at the bus station today sporting a white shirt and carrying a clip board. Must be doing a stint as a conductor

found out that Scotland's ADL E300's with Schoolbus spec (60 seats in 3+2) are being repainted into SC Corporate livery for transfer to somewhere else.
could it be they're coming to Cumbria to replace KL's SchoolRunners?

Sounds possible! They are special and surprising!

According to Cainebj there are 8 of these E300's set to move. So IF all 8 were to come to the NW at least 3 would end up in KL and the rest would be spread around I suppose...

They transferred 22802 along with 22801,22803,22808,22811 and 22812 to morecambe while the other lo-liners 22805,6,7,9,14 and 22819 was being refurbed after the carlisle floods, then scattered them around yorkshire and manchester and we kept 22805,7,8,9 and 22814

Was the engine in 47147 just reconditioned or has a brand new one been put in? I had it on the 49 last night and it only just made it up the hill into Halton lol. Rear blind was a bit flickery as well. Wonder when the seats will be re done...

I think you mean 47247, i know 47157 is having a new engine put in,thats if they have put it in.

16397 and 16343 were flying around as well. one of them was on a service, and the other could have been going out on school work.

14207, a Citi Dart and a few B10Ms in workshops.

a rather shiny ALX100 in the big shed, in front of one of Borrowdale Valley OT Oly's (think it was 16329).

in Workington:
47006 done a run on 30S this morning between Harrington runs. the driver looked extremely unimpressed surprise surprise! he'll be wanting his bouncy 33169 back!!! wonder if he is getting withdrawal symptoms after having 33169 constantly on the old 101 rota!

I think you mean 47247, i know 47157 is having a new engine put in,thats if they have put it in.

47247 Hasnt had out done to that one and is running round with ADM light witch is engaine management light. 47249 Had new engaine that one an 47248 are very quick nice buses.

Cumbria Fares Increase

Fare Revisions

Please note, that some of our fares will be changed from Sunday 7th February 2010

We regret that increases are unfortunately necessary to enable us to maintain our services in the face of increases to our costs.

While some single and return fares will change throughout West Cumbria, fares in our Workington Megarider zone will be FROZEN until further notice!

Certain saver tickets wil be increased as follows:

* Whitehaven Dayrider £2.30
* Whitehaven Megarider £8.50
* Explorer Adult 4-day £22.00
* Barrow Megarider £9.00 (child £5.90)
* Barrow 28 Day Megarider £28.50(child £18.40)
* 6 Routerider Ulverston £17.50 (child £12.30)
* 6 Routerider Dalton £12.80 (child £9.00)
* Carlisle Dayrider £3.30 (group £5.80)
* Carlisle Dayrider Plus £5.60 (group £8.00)
* Explorer Adult 4-day £22.00

ALL other multi-journey and Internet tickets will be FROZEN in price !

At the same time, the following tickets will be changed/introduced:

* The Cumbria Goldrider is replaced by the North West Goldrider at £24 per week, but now also covers Lancashire too! This replaces the weekly Explorer.

Have just heard that one of the service 300 bus workings is to return to a West Cumbria Depot operation from Monday 22nd Feb.
Also all Journeys between Workington and Penrith throughout the summer will operate as X5's.

Thats the way the fare increases are normally done, one time it will be the 'normal' cash fares that rise and the next it will be the Megarider et al that rise.

after finding myself a little bored, i decided to create a paper bus model of a Trident in Lakes Green Livery just to see what it'd look like! here are the pictures from it!

The model has been modified by myself from a paper bus model of a Trident in standard corporate livery from PWF Paperbuses. I have used MX55 KPK 18358 as a basis. Note that the text on the displays is not in the same font, as i couldn't be bothered searching through all the fonts to find one similar!

i personally think it looks pretty damn good!
