Been out and about today, didn't spot much!

on Carlisle-Barepot 300: 52408 and 52626 (i think - i could just make out the side livery as it turned out of view a few vehicles ahead of me!)

Also spotted one of CE's Drats (34685 - PX05 EKU) has a rather odd display... it seems to be offset rather to the right! It has the same effect as the display as the one in LL's 20134, and cuts off half the destination number!

Spotted a very shiny 18366 on the 555 today. Some roadworks on in Keswick, so buses on the 555 and X5 have to enter Keswick via the long way round when heading in from the east. http://www.flickr.com/photos/transliner/4322899732/

So that's (probably) why 555s have been on time lately.

This afternoon was a good one for Olympian action;
16664 and 14208 on 2/2As
16665 on 55A
16877 on 42 to Blackpool

As has been said before, 20451 on 3/4.

Magical to see that the NW Explorer has been renamed, which changes nothing, and made more expensive. Not happy at all.
However, I would be happy if the monthly goldrider was made NW wide, then it would be worth the £88/month.

The road between the mini roundabout and Chestnut Hill is closed for upto 14 weeks. So the X5 will be diverted from Keswick Bus Station along the A591 to Crosthwaite roudabout and along the A66 (and vice versa), the 555 will follow the same diversion but will leave the A66 at the Windermere turn off and serve Chestnut Hill and Low Briery.

14 weeks As long as I can get to Greggs, then that'll do me! Ohh, and the bus station :roll: There was a fairly large build up of traffic coming from the Seatoller end of the roadworks (the joys of three way traffic lights!)

The price of the Goldrider will only rise by 50p, for that you get 7 days unlimited travel throughout Cumbria AND Lancashire! It's actually really good value.
The old NW Explorers were more expensive, 4 days cost £30, so you will actually pay less for 7 days travel than you did for 4 days.

Yeah, but the Goldrider is pretty futile! Takes forever and a day to get anywhere near Lancashire from the west coast of Cumbria on a SC service. Maybe I'm just bitter though

Am I missing something here? I thought the "old" NW explorer was valid all over the NW already.

Certainly people have bought one on an X2 at Liverpool, used it to get around Manchester (IIRC they're valid in manc but not issued) then up to Carlisle and around there.

Personally I've used an NW explorer to get around Lancaster and Kendal....

I just wish they'd do the same with the 4 week Goldrider - at £88/month for just Cumbria, it's not IMHO the best value.

18372 also looked very shiny on the 1320 555 from Lancaster.

There are also roadworks in Kendal, Kirkland & Highgate are both down to single lane until about Easter. I discovered tonight, when i went to see Gemma.

Surprised they still keep reinstating the B10B`s when they supposed to be out of service and especially with the auditors down this week. Glad i picked this week to take off.

with Service 75 changing to Reays operation, it leaves passengers with a bit of difficulty if using more than service 75!
currently, Cummersdale - Carlisle - Scotby is covered by Carlisle CitiRider zone, meaning passengers from Cummersdale (for example) going to Asda can use the 75 to Carlisle, then get the 62 to Asda, all on the CitiRider for £9.50. From monday, there will be a Reays Cummersdale - Carlisle - Scotby 7 day routerider, for £9. passengers regularly going onto other routes would have to purchase a separate Stagecoach Carlisle Citi Megarider thing for £9.50.

a return to Carlisle from Dalston (Bridge End) will be £5.20! (rather expensive really! its cheaper for equivalent journey on LL's 30 / 31 / 300!)

Reays buses will not be serving Carlisle Bus Station. instead, buses to Bridge End will pick up from the church on Lonsdale Street (blocking buses using the bus lane up to the bus station, such as 300 / 600). buses to Cotehill will pick up on Lowther Street (where Carlisle Citi buses pick up and drop off from).

Stagecoach will still operate the 75A and 91A services for Caldew School (75A uses the bus from 554 before the 1600 554 departure. 91A usually has anything sitting around the depot). Reays return tickets for school kids who missed the bus in the morning won't be valid on the Stagecoach school services.

fun fun fun all the way! i hope Reays are considering new buses! considering Citi Darts and B10M's are normally the main buses! although, Vario's do occasionally pop up!

47617 is the rare allocation on Maryport 56/57/57a today! sounds a bit squeaky/screechy for a two year old!!

Also noted 20777 on the 37 Workington-Northside (via back end of beyond! - lol) I have to say, it is good, and certainly not the cream of the K---DAO B10Ms, but my gosh it's the best sounding!!
