Hi all.
Today, I went to my local train station to get the train into town. As always, I went to the ticket office and asked for an "Adult return to Lime Street, please", whilst showing him my 16-25 railcard.
The guy looked at my rail card and asked me what time I was travelling back, I asked why, and he replied saying that because of peak-times between 4pm and 6pm, I can't use discounted rail tickets between these times.
I've just looked through the Validity and Terms & Conditions section of the 16-25 railcard website and can't find any information on this matter. I have travelled back between 4pm and 6pm in the past, but from different destinations.
Can anyone confirm that this is true, or is it just the ticket man getting it wrong?
Thanks in advance.
