Only speculation? These are confirmed to be ordered. 8 of them for Lothian country numbered 9201-9208. Their being shown off in Blackpool at the weekend.
Sorry
Didnt mean buses were speculation having seen your pictures but that the routes were. That was the question I responded to.

Ah right. I couldn't imagine them being used on an existing route or even the X17...

I'd like to think it would be something longer distance or more limited stop owing to their design.

I've always thought a similar coach design, probably longer wheel base or higher capacity would be ideal for the East Coast X7's or North Berwick Corridor

It was not 124 as it has not been used in a couple of weeks. Last outing was 19th March on route 63 and before that was 25th Feb on 287.

As someone who uses the train instead of the X7 due to a lack of peak time capacity, this would swing it for me!

Lothian seem to have gained yet another new coach, unknown fleet number, registration plate SB19 GKU in standard grey Lothian Motorcoaches livery.

They are due another batch of brand new Panther 3's but dual axle this time instead of tri axle. As previously mentioned, they're also due 6 Levantes, which are in varying states of modernising and 3 more Vanhool Acrons and a singular different type of Vanhool, as well as a smattering of other acquisitions.

Believe one of the Tridents has joined the Motorcoaches Fleet too.

Motorcoaches are acquiring some Citylink work this year but will run services in their own livery.

The Vanhools will be good, can't really go wrong with them.

Second hand Levantes on the other hand :lol::lol:, all i'll say is "good luck!"... Any idea what chassis they're on?

I believe that the trident is either 650 or 651 as it has an XIL plate. Might have had plate changed to another vehicle though.
