As it was there for different and heavier work than 158826 it may not be out for a few days to enable it to undergo Depot Checks, after all, 285 was a week in hiding

People like us know it’s TfW, but I’m wondering if they’re deliberately not putting TfW on the side just yet. Ditto the 150s that have been repainted into ATW colours.

Nice, a fourth photo! And coupled to an ATW liveried 158 as well. 1530 from Aberystwyth ey...? I could have actually walked to the train station over the road from me and seen it, if I wasn't such a lazy sh*t. Oh well, hopefully soon!

They were doing work to the ticket office area when I was last there’s few weeks ago and I noticed they have installed a load of new speakers all over the station too, so they definitely have been doing some work there.

The old ones were installed not that long ago, but I don’t think they’d ever worked.

But lets be honest here, the announcements always say the operators name and the visual CIS always have the train operator clearly marked as well. You would be hard pushed to get on the wrong train.

I took someone to flint last week who wanted London. That’s someone getting on a green train instead of a red and white one...... on a completely separate platform........ 15 minutes earlier than the train they wanted! This isn’t uncommon.

Autistic people generally (a) are obsessive about doing things correctly, and (b) tend to pay a lot of attention to relatively small things like the colour of a train and why it's that colour, and the pattern of platform allocations. So I'd say an autistic person is much less likely to board an incorrect train.

It's always good to know and much appreciated to know how neurotypicals perceive things, so thanks for that. I wouldn't go up to someone and call them stupid, just to be clear! Bletchleyite I appreciate your post as well.

That's interesting.

Here's a letter dated last December from Ken Skates saying TfW branding guidelines (which at the time we thought didn't include 'and borders') complied with the agreement between the Welsh and UK Governments.

But not 'Transport for.....' before 'Wales & Borders'.

Here's a screenshot of the KeolisAmey presentation from the franchise award:

CAF DMU's that will cross the border just have 'Wales & Borders' with the Welsh translation and the TfW 'T' logo


Where as 'Metro' trains that won't venture across the border have 'Transport for Wales' and 'funded by Welsh Govt' given prominence alongside the 'T' logo



So maybe as none of the TfW fleet can be confined to inside Wales atm, they've changed their minds about splashing 'Transport for Wales' over everything.
Also that livery looks silver and red to me, not white and red.
