I would have thought the N, P and R regs would have been sent seeing as it's going to be for several months.

Having said that, the N and P regs do still carry Merseyside Legals.....

On another note, I've finally found 1 thing Kendal has more of than Lancaster:

LED fitted B10Ms!

my internet has finally been reconnected :D

heard a few drivers talking in Workington Bus Station yesterday, saying that the X5 is running hourly until the X4 service can resume. obviously, it has to miss out Cockermouth Town Centre.

the rota for Harrington & Seaton buses was running the same. when a bus is due to be on the Seaton side, it went on layover at the bus station, waiting for the next run out to Harrington.

47061 was on Moorclose Circular 51 last friday, with no front registration plate. it was pulled off service a few hours after i saw it, being replaced by a farting 47024 (giving off large amounts of air loudly everytime it done its high pitch squeaking).
33167, 33169, and 2 04 reg Solo's were on the Harrington services. i'm guessing one of the solo's had replaced 33169, cos that was on annexe for a long time.

20435 was on the annexe yesterday, and it has had its Carlisle Megarider advert replaced by a Workington Megarider advert.

20768 was on 300's between Workington and Whitehaven yesterday.
20753 on the Workington to Maryport shuttles with a dead bright tech (suprise suprise).

on the note of the temporary increase in PVR, there is still the N reg B10M from Merseyside sitting at LL, which was repainted and got Cumberland Motor Services legals on it. there is also the 5 K reg B10M's at Lillyhall which were replaced but are still in service (20737 [on disposals], 20752/3 and 20763/4).

How many LED fitted B10's do KL have? We only have the one...

KL have 2 (20127 and 20128, recent transfers from Preston).

yeah, raining again! its not as bad as it was last week though!
could be a long time before anything is back to normal! some shops havn't been getting any deliveries, bus routes been disrupted, phone lines been down, gas and electric has been off a bit. the stock room at the local Wilkinson store was totally washed out, so they'll be closed until the stock room dried out etc and for the stock to be replaced.
might as well say at this point that Northside residents were being supplied with free "rations", after Tesco and Asda took a large delivery of free food to the Northside Community Centre. each household could take so much of the essentials each day (i've been told they could take a 1 litre bottle of milk, a loaf of bread, and small amounts of other food items). there was also a limited supply of other daily essentials (soap, toothpaste, toilet paper etc) provided free by Tesco and Asda.
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
47616 on 50.
47062 on 51.
33168 and 33169 on Harrington.
20761 on Workington - Whitehaven 300.
35246 on 31.
16651 on annexe.
a H reg oly and an enviro 300 on Workington to Maryport shuttle.
34079 came in on "Workington 30", and went onto annexe.
20779 on X5!!!

Glad to hear they are getting going with the Tridents again next year. I would guess that the MANS would be next for attention, not necessarily LED's but certainly repaints...

KL have 2 (20127 and 20128, recent transfers from Preston).

Welcome back cainebj, i sincerely hope that you have not suffered too much from the recent flooding in west cumbria.

I think that 20132, also has a LED blind. But unfortunately, i did not see any B10M's from the P-XCN batch today.

Unless it's been fitted by Kendal, 20132 has a brite tech.

Can't say I've anything to report. Glad to see cainebj is back, these are interesting times ahead!

I think the N reg could well get put out into service, along with 20790 and 20451/2 (why they are on disposal anyway is beyond me)

Hardly surprising given the amount of bridges, and listed ones at that, that will need rebuilding.

I hope though that things can become significantly more normal in the coming months.

The second round of service cuts come in to force on January 3rd

2A 0819 ex Combermere starts back at Overton at 0809

6 timetable reduced in pm peak, probably the extra ones at xx26 off Lancaster

7 reduced in am peak, dont have the specifics as yet but the 0845 ex LBS to Marsh will be cut

10 0845 ex LBS withdrawn

S28 withdrawn

42 Last service ex Lancaster will be 1747 which returns 1915 ex Blackpool

Sunday service will only operate Easter to October.

It remains to be seen whether LCC step in. Given the numbers that travel on these I cant see it happening but they do like wasting huges amounts of money on late services that no one uses

A couple of drivers from Chorley are apparently going up to West Cumbria to help out, these guys haven't been at Chorley for a while, busy helping out at other places, so if anyone sees them, give them my regards!!

18148 in full coast liner livery was in the Chorley dock shop, down for its MoT, did do a quick shot of it, but can't bluetooth it to the puter to upload it, as my partner lent the bluetooth dongle to her cousin...

15571 and 15575 has gained Urban Connect 125 branding, along with a third which i cant recall at the moment, but i think it was 15577.. i do expect a few more to be done soon though..

New 125 timetables are out, the difference being the official change of the timing point at Cinnamon Hill and a change in the running time between Preston and Bamber Bridge, still the same time, just split more evenly, 124 timetable also makes interesting reading, with Stagecoach being mentioned as accepting all Transdev tickets on the 124 services they operate..

Slight confusion with the new route 4, but that should soon be sorted out..

and does anyone know what an 11A is ... anyone who knows at Chorley is not letting on

They probably don't want to risk the profiles, given the flooding!

Profile's were out yesterday.
i wasn't around too long at bus station today cos it was extremely windy, so didnt get to see the other time slots. only saw the 1520 departure.

Noted on the Stagecoach website

Service Update as of Wednesday 25th November

Services X4/X5, 58 and 600 can now enter Cockermouth via Low Road, turning right at Wordsworth House, then via Gallowbarrow Road, with a temporary stop at the School.

18375 on 755 this morning later seen running dead through Scale Hall.
22805/21 on 2
16659 on 2a
21003 on 4
20133 on 42
18361 on 40
16664 on 81a
14195 on 55a

Also noticed that the rear screen on 22807 is a lot clearer then on all the other MANS. Not sure if they have begun clearing them up as many of them are filthy and some unreadable. It could have been done ages ago for all I know lol

We had an inspector on this morning as well. Hopped on at the pointer roundabout and off at Bowerham crossing the road to catch another service. I used to see him a lot in Cumbria but not so often down here.

Whats happened to the Info Bus? I haven't seen it for nearly 2 weeks....

Indeed I haven't seen the info bus either. 22815 was at the underpass in it's place today.

14208 on 81B
16659, 22721 on the 2/2a
17022 on the sainsburys bus
20451, 20545 on the 55
21003 on the 3
20131 stabled at the bus station

Dallamlad, all the properly refurbished MAN's (22806, 807, 809) seem to have cleaner back screens, and wider side ones too. I know what you mean about the rear ones, it's a pain having to run to the front when in the underpass just to see what bus they're running. At least they work though, unlike some of the B10M's!

Also apologies if mentioned already but from 14th December the 3 from Lancaster-Morecambe Battery is being reduced to half hourly due to shortfalls in funding by the council for OAP passes. Looking at the sample timetable departures will change to xx25 and xx55 past the hour, but the University-Lancaster side is unaffected. Same for the 4 as well.

An interesting note of 14195/6: 195 has normal square headlight, 196 has round ones.

I saw forum member Paul Mcgill no less than 3 times today!

Nothing else interesting though, 22721 on a 2A this morning.

22805/6/7 and 9 have had recent repaints this year and the backs on some buses can be hard at times (eg;17xxx) to clean and the infobus is on the backfence waiting to go into the garage for service.

16647 has turned up at Lillyhall from Preston. it was on Workington Bus Station annexe this afternoon, with Ribble Motor Services legal lettering, and no signs saying on loan to Cumberland Motor Services or anything. the displays are still set to Preston's stuff, and it had a board in windscreen for 300.

47005 and 47006 have both entered service. 47005 has Lillyhall info on displays, 47006 has been running around with "Stagecoach" on front and side. the front display has been changing between green writing on black, and black writing on green.
47005 was on Maryport to Seaton.
47006 is on Harrington.
47006 doesn't do the high pitch squeaking that the other 51 reg's do, and it is full of Preston Citi crap inside. it hasn't yet had its interior refurb.

42025 has turned up from Carlisle Seasonal Reserve to help out at Lillyhall. it was full of drivers when i saw it.
16874 has turned up as well, with Stagecoach in Cumbria on the sides.

i saw 3 drivers today who aren't Lillyhall drivers. there was 2 youngish men, and a youngish woman.

the 300 service is now back to Carlisle - Whitehaven, but misses out all stops between Maryport and Workington. between Maryport and Workington, it follows the route of the Workington to Maryport shuttle.

40028 on 58.
20435 and Enviro 300's on the Workington - Maryport shuttle.
16651, 16652, 16734 and 20768 on 300's.
47061 on 50.
47616 on 51.
33168 and 47006 on Harrington.
20765 on 31.
22597 was on School Service in Maryport. other vehicles on the temporary school special services were 20764, 52629, another TransCumbria branded Jonckheere, and various B10M's of various ages.
52626 was flying around earlier in the afternoon. i didn't see what it was running though.

I can't understand why, if Barrow can spare 20754, why they needed 20755 back from disposal....

Anyway, they'll soon be gone from there when the Tridents arrive.

I think its just the 42s Sunday service thats becoming seasonal. Im more suprised that the last one from Blackpool is 17:45. RIP Blackpool 'Sleepout'

17020 started the service off this morning working the first 40 of the day.

Later on I spied

22807 on a 4 heading to Combermere Road
14204 on the Sainsburys shuttle
saw other buses too but it was dark by the time I was coming back through town

just been looking at the new timetable's for Carlisle, in particular, the only service i use, and i noticed it is now Carlisle Citi 75, whereas it was just a plain standard 75. hope this means it will get Citi Darts on it again instead of the knackered Vario's that have been appearing on it, and the B10M's which drivers have to reverse on most occasions cos they can't get it around Cummersdale!

20754 and 20755 went onto disposal together. 20755 was taken off disposals, back into service.
20754 is supposedly coming off disposals onto Lillyhall Reserve whilst it is here.
