Do SC Carlisle have an emergency protocol for flooding?
Yes all on call, Park them on high ground (Port Road)
Do SC Carlisle have an emergency protocol for flooding?
Yes Cockermouth has been devastated as has Keswick, both towns are closed off. Bassenthwaite Lake has also risen and has flooded both the A66 and the A591, Hall Brow in Workington is closed due to flooding (47's diverted via Lowca Lane, Siddick) as is Lower Parton nr Whitehaven.
I can see this getting either dramatically worse over night or easing off as the water flows away. We shall have to see what the dawn brings.
On the BBC website they have spelt Kendal as "Kendall"...bloody Southerners lol.
In the next few hours we expect Cockermouth to become isolated, and Carlisle likely to be affected overnight.
Those Darts and New Enviros need moved NOW!!!
As far as Carlisle goes, I'm probably more concerned about the safety of the McVities Factory! Only time will tell![]()
Nothing Worse than a Soggy Biscuit!![]()
Lets just hope everyone escapes these floods with their lives. Buses can be replaced after all.
A search has been launched for a police officer who went missing after a bridge collapsed during heavy flooding.
Cumbria Police said the male officer was unaccounted for after Northside bridge, on one of the main routes into Workington, collapsed overnight, cutting off the gas supply to the town.
Will this bridge collapsed, effect bus service in the Workington area?
