I do like that, the revised yellow makes the units look less narrow, and with window bands and swooshes it doesn't look bland.

Needs the yellow stripe in 1st though!

That looks pretty good to be fair. The XC Voyagers will look even more tired and worn now

I agree.

It definitely makes the front look wider. I can't really work out why though? Because comparing the position of the yellow to the old Voyager livery, it doesn't look to be in any different position where it joins the head lamps! I just can't work it out. Unless its the red swoosh that makes it look wider rather than the yellow?

I think the front does look wider because the yellow tapers out and there is more black which meets the red towards the top sides of the windscreen, which is narrow on a Voyager.

If that makes sense!

Not sure if it's already been noted, but 221110 (at least I think it was this unit) had white displays on some coaches today.

Yes it has on 221101 on all vehicles.

Can clearly be seen on the video on #630.

It will be on the 1910 Euston to Holyhead. Leading unit of the double set.

Saw it at Crewe going south and it was at the rear. (221101)

I just hope that they get on and do the rest of the Virgin West Coast Class 221 fleet in this new livery as the others look so tired now compared to 101!!

Have to say that looks class. Better with yellow too. Hope it gets left on.

The grills and door handles around the front could really do with painting black or red. Other than that it looks really smart which is a surprise - it probably wears the 'flowing silk' livery better than a IET/Pendolino, which given the shape of it you wouldn't expect.

Having compared both liveries, the yellow on the new design goes about half an inch max wider where it joins the headlamps. Saying that though, the yellow only appears under the windscreen on the new design. Whereas on the old design the yellow runs all the way up alongside the windscreen on both sides. The black may be slightly wider each side of the windscreen than the yellow was on the old design, hard to be sure. But added to all that, the red swoosh going off each side also definitely adds to making it look wider than the old livery from the front.

Definitely looks 'meaner' as well.

Is the red vinyl metallic or Matt on the voyager? It's Matt on the Pendolino but this photo of the voyager definitely makes it look metallic...

Still not seen it myself in the flesh yet but I presume same as the 390s, it's just not got dirty yet!
