Glad to be of use!

For regular visitors, a "just uploaded" gallery is a must - it makes seeing what's new so much easier.

If my camera was working, i'd be off like a shot to "head it off at the pass" and get some snaps!! :p:lol:

I wonder if it's fellow Forum member "K768DAO" at the wheel? (If it is... The Lucky Sod!)

Chorleys new Scanias started in service today..

15571 was first on the 10:15 126 to Bolton and is scheduled to be out until 23:03 tonight (last couple of hours should be 20:05 from Chorley to Bolton, 20:50 from Bolton to Chorley, 21:35 from Chorley to Preston, 22:20 from Preston for anyone who wants a first day piccy)

15567 joined in later and should be about until 18:50ish

Noted they were running slightly late too, which isnt suprising, i dont care what they say, but every driver, including me, will be running late on them at first, its only natural, until you settle in to them, might take some an hour, might take some a month, and i'm sure that no matter how much VF'ing any driver gets, every single driver, and i know there are a few on here, will only get comfortable when they have the bus to themselves, in service, before they find thier way along, and every single driver, i bet my backside, will play with at least one button/feature/random item, just for the hell of it..

My play about will probably be turning the dashboard language into Turkish or Russian :P .. (Only Joking TS .. if someone does do it, it wasnt me)

Over the weekend the Scanias should come in to the garage thick and fast, but will all need 'sorting' before they can go on the road.. especially those who are getting that bloomin branding .. Urban connect .. pfft and why does the outline of the skyline make me think of Thames TV !?!?

Anyway, im off for four days now, so i'm expecting a lot of changes by Tuesday

17022 had a major failure at the bus station tonight, I'm not sure what with though. When I got there, 3 inspectors were gathered round with the engine side bay door open. One of them dragged a load of metal bits out with his foot.
Definitely not good. They then all came back inside and requested a tow truck & fitters from the garage.

No doubt Paul or Gez will be able to tell us more....

I had a feeling I'd seen you Dallamlad...hard to explain. I didn't consciously see you, I just had this feeling I had. Weird.

i still think its stupid keeping 52626 to replace RBZ! if 52626 turned up when i was on a day trip, i'd want my money back!!!

52626, 52629, 53336 and 53339 on X services.
followed 53336 back to Workington on the X4, and it was doing well over 40mph in a 30 zone!
16447 on short 300.
47062 on 50. later replaced by 20952.
20765 on 51.
33169, 34079 and 47616 on Harrington & Seaton.

20952's gearbox failed whilst on 50. it was crawling up to the bus station from the train station in 1st!

20777 and 42566 on Workington Annexe tonight about 7:15(ish), along with two local nutters... haha ("Cainebj" & "RossWatson")

And Inside...
An UID '08 Solo out of service (Presumably waiting to go on 30 Nightshift)
47059 Going on Service 30 Nightshift (AFAIK)
52629 Coming off X Routes

22610 Coming from Maryport, showing "WORKINGTON 30"... Presumably this is what the '08 solo was waiting for to relieve...

Will it reach places like Blackpool or the Metro Centre without assistance from a towing rig?? This one will need some serious attention before going long-distance... it certainly ain't the best of the four!!

the 08 reg solo was 47617, and it went on Workington Town Evening Services suprisingly!
34079 waited for the 2015 Cockermouth X5.
i think 33169 was the other bus to go on the evening 30's. it went onto 51 for the last run, and i wasn't around when it returned.

What are the fleet numbers of the Jonckheer's that are coming to Carlisle to replace the coaches on the 685.

AFAIK 52626 is staying put, and it will be two of the remaining three - 52627, 52628 or 52629

Hope that helps!!

First of all, welcome Andy!

I don't think any of us know which are going to Carlisle - and, as we've learned throughout the course of this thread, it could be any and will most probably change!
As with most things SCNW, the best thing is to wait and see ;)

21004 failed working into Carnforth this morning at Bolton-le-Sands. 22818 behind, presumably taking voer the service.
004s engine bay was open.

Also, 20894 on the Uni shuttle, with a massive 0 people on. The Trident on 2A behind it was packed though.

It was better just now, going along Heysham Road towards the Towers at about 12.20 on the 000's

Yeah noticed the stickers were coming off 18363 a few weeks ago.

16662 on the 2a just now glad its going up for some TLC! Also an idea that's been thrown around is that 16664/5 are been kept as ME kicked up a fuss about loosing them and 16874/77 could be Leyland replacements. Just an idea.

So 16874 is up for repaint then presumably moving down to ME.

Services 6/6A are still on diversion due to Regent Roads roadworks, Morecambe bound via Westminster Road and Westgate bound via Albert Road. I know passengers are aware of these diversions now but there doesnt seem to have been much publicity for these diversions.

I travelled on 25222 and 25224 for the first time this morning and found them to quite a pleasent ride albeit a tad rough on some of the bumpier roads. A Solo was the 3rd bus on the 6/6A circuit but didnt see which one.

Sorry if Ive missed this a few pages back, I noticed 5(?) Magicbus B10Ms in the yard at Morecambe - presumably stored here as Lilyhall overflow?

Noted in the Lancaster Guardian: as a thank you to the passengers for putting up with the recent disruption the bay dayrider is being reduced in price by 10% from 10-14 November.

Yes, the Magic Bus B10Ms are all ex-Merseyside, being stored at Morecambe as Lillyhal is full. I think some will see further service, but most won't.

22809 was rostered for the 1610 55A, but thanks to a late Olympian (16659) on the drivers shuttle, it was swapped! :D Just as well, about 80 people got on.

Yeah, I thought all the K regs were going.

I still can't fathom what's going on with the others though, especially with Barrow storing buses.
