seeing as a lot of stuff has been mentioned about them NC bodied oly's, might as well give my opinion.
they are ugly, feel cheap, and i find them pretty poorly designed (emergency close button being very close to the floor), but as has been mentioned, they do have an airier feel about them, due to the height, meaning the ceilings are slightly higher than in the Alexander RL's. i find the interior styling is a bit dull though, and there is quite a bit of exposed metal on dark bits of stuff inside haha.
here is a dodgey interior pic of LL's 16447 that shows some of the rather dated design.
here is a rear to front shot of upper deck. not the best of pics really, but never mind.
there is also a bit of intrusion on upper deck from the door mechanism box. although lower than Alexander RL's (due to the NC being taller), it comes out from the side more, as seen here.
one good side to the NC body though, the stairs are straight (like on the Tridents), whereas on the Alexander RL's, they curve round. you can probably guess that from this exterior shot.
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
16393 went through Workington at about half 2! much to everyones amazement haha. the display said "123 HANOVER DISPLAYS", and had 2 fitters on board, with trade plates.

47059 on 50.
20435 on 51, with M235 TBV on both front and rear.
33168, 34079 and 47062 on Harrington & Seaton.
20436, 20759 and 20764 were on annexe. 20759 went out on Northside 48.
20923 on short 300.
a very shiny 16654 on full length 300.
a B10M went out of bus station at time for 31, with no sign of an enviro 300 / dart. didnt see which one it was. looked to be 20777 though (old style DP seats, original rear lights).

16665,20451,16664 and 14208 on the 2/2a in that order!!!

20894 on runs to and from town.

21003,20133 and 20545 on X1.

Jonesy if it looks incredibly tatty I'm guessing it will have a good going over over the coming weeks or I would hope so anyway!

well, i've been out to bus station again haha.

20435 has had a strip of black tape put across the D on the rear plate, to make it resemble a B, although, it has been done pretty dodgilly!
47024 came in from Maryport, and replaced 20435 on 51. this happened 30 mins after a wheelchair passenger wanted on the 51 but couldnt (electric wheelchair, she can't walk at all). the poor woman couldnt get on 51 last week either, cos 16651 was on 51!

20436 replaced 20923 on the short 300.
20435 done the very short Lillyhall - Workington run.
14248 was replaced on SL Ltd Contract by 20962.
34616 and 35247 on 31 with a few Enviro 300's. didnt see a B10M on it again, so its possible the B10M was replaced by a low floor.
47059 and a very knackered sounding 47062 on evening 30's.
34079 on Workington Town Evening Services.

Did somebody mention that 16877 was from london? I had a look at it today and it is very tatty inside and out and different colour seats.

London General/Central seating was a mottled darkish blue with hints of red and grey if memory serves me rightly but they might have been recovered since then.

The NVs ended up in the London General training school fleet at Stockwell and Cambewell replacing the MCW Metrobuses and Leyland Titans which had been allocated to Merton (as seen in BBCs 'Big Red Bus' series a few years ago) so its quite interesting that they have gone: Service-Training-Service!

There are currently a number of the NV's trainers, for sale at various dealers.

Typical Yorkshire-style job then.

20133 on X3 after doing LRGS schools, also 17020 DIT after working Preston-LRGS.

Fleetcard should be out on Friday, I think.

Presumably 18158 isn't going to Preston for a while then, otherwise it would have had Stagecoach in Preston on the side?

the main Stagecoach operations are all Stagecoach in Lancashire. only the Preston Bus stuff got Stagecoach in Preston, cos the stupid regulations mean they have to keep PB as a separate SC division.

Wheres 16877 come from and whats it doing up here? Is it one of the replacements for those two Olys we are loosing?

Why Yes..Yes it is .. (sorry, kids been watching too much Phinas and Ferb!)

Anyway, there was a posting on here before about two high bridge deckers going to Morecambe, i suspected 16877 was one of them, as, although bought from Yorkshire Traction for Chorley, it seems to have been shunned there because it dared to be higher than 14ft tall...

After a few days off i come back to find that indeed it has gone, to be replaced by the aforementioned oly's (the one ending in 5 is favourite)

Also seen making a return is repainted 18158, don't know what went up for the next repaint, but ultimately all Tridents will be done, sooner rather than later..

And, somewhat anticipated, i was directed to a new Scania that had arrived, what was not anticipated however was the one that came .. 15664 is nestling in a quiet corner, awaiting the necessary needed to make it ready for the road, and is likely to be the one used for VF'ing in the near future..

Looking rather 'naked' in its swoops paint job, it is devoid of any logos, fleet numbers and (as pointed out to me) not even a no-smoking sticker in sight..

I tried to take a few pics with my mobile phone, but the location of the bus in the garage made this a little awkward, nevertheless, these photos are offered out for interest.

I'm sure in the near future more, better, higher quality photos will surface.

14204,14208,20795 and 14195 on the 2/2a in that order! 16665 also on the 2.
14196 on the 7 which is very odd.
18330 failed at the end of Kingsway in Heysham this morning. Fitter in attendance.

20894 looking like it was failed at the Bus Station this morning - the lights were off and the driver was on his mobile, looking rather ****ed off. The long queue of people suggested it had been there for a while.

Sounds about right. I will look out for it later today to see if it gets back up and about.

14204 still on the 2a just now. No sign of the other Leylands but 17020 has appeared on the 2 so I assume it replaced one of them.

18326 out of service at the underpass.

18330 after its breakdown this morning, was working the Sainsbury's bus which was full well over capacity with people standing on both decks.

20795 is in fact running the shuttle between the Uni and town.

42584 on 75.
didnt see anything else odd on the Carlisle services (mostly cos i didnt see many).

47024 on 50.
20753 on 51.
20763 on 31.
20777 on short 300.
16447 on full length 300.
33168 and 47062 on Harrington & Seaton.
a solo went out towards Maryport this morning.

up at Carlisle depot:
20129 and an UID Oly were in the paintshops in prep areas. 20129 looked like it hadn't long arrived. the spraying shop part was closed.
the usual mixture of Darts, B10M's, Oly's, and even an Enviro 300 in the shed.
13297 and 16337 outside the shed.
20908, 42545 (osprey bus) and the 2 driver trainers down the back and side of depot. 20908 had 179 on displays.

in the workshop areas:
a Citi branded Dart, 14265, 42672, 20979, 33162 and probably something else in workshop areas (the shutter furthest to right was closed, and i couldnt see if anything was hiding there cos 14265 was in the way).

Apparently its the wrong one, the right ones have started to be fitted to the ones coming down now, with some extras to replace the wrong ones already fitted to some Scanias..

Next thing is, are they bonded or screwed... if they are bonded, theres going to be some fun to be had smashing off the wrong ones..
