Sorry Gez, I think I must be getting mixed up with things (again!)

So much going on at school at the moment I've no idea where am I, where I'm going or anything!

Im back!

Sorry if Ive missed anything too exiciting - MANs being stolen etc!

Spotted on Friday afternoon was a Solo - 47249 I think showing X2 University, I thought the X2 was long gone or has it been reintroduced?

14186 (2186, G186 JHG) has been bought for preservation and eventual return to stripes livery. Thankfully this bus retained its DP seating and will return to the North West. Sister bus 14183 is now at Stephensons of Rochford along with a couple of other former SCNW buses notably 2174 (C174 ECK) both have lost their DP seats for normal benches.

Apologies if I have repeated anything already posted, went back about 10 pages and didnt notice them reported.

Nope, you've not missed much else, and haven't repeated anything.

Interesting to hear about 14186 - I always wondered why the G regs went before F regs...

No idea to be honest, the G reg batch 2180-89 left Lancaster and went to Slatyford in Newcastle but they have since moved on to other parts of the empire such as East Midlands and at least one went to Devon. Nice to see one saved, they were nice buses to drive.

Dont be letting school get you stressed out, although the nice people up there still do it to myself and I've been left 25 years.
Anyhow the changes will see the service pegged back to every 15 minutes between Uni and Morecambe, with an additional half hourly number 3 between Uni and Lancaster every 30 minutes, term time only.
Quite a few early Saturday runs are caped as well
The 2/2A change is the Saturday non term service making back to the University instead of Hala. This has been like this since the days of joint running with the Corporation.

18363 is to be unveiled at Morecambe FC on Saturday, I'll get some snaps of it tomorrow.

About time too, its been a right pain trying to get to the University on a Saturday, over the years! Especially when there been something special going on there, like a book fair, etc.

47024 on 50.
47060 on 51.
33167, 33169 and 42562 started out on Harrington & Seaton. 42562 was replaced by 33168.
20777 on 48 at minute.
34616 and 35246 on 31.
20919 on the half hourly 300 between Workington & Whitehaven. unlike 20962, it has orange grab rails to match its retrim.

when 20919 came into Workington Bus Station, i was suprised to see it had a changing display!!! i thought all that had been scrapped haha. it had "Whitehaven 300", then changed to "300" in centre of display.

i thought i'd imagined it at first, cos the Jonck's havn't done it for a while! we'll just have to see how long it lasts for haha.

saw 16652 running as a staff shuttle. i'd guess this later went onto school work or something (they usually do when heading to Lillyhall from Workington at 1450).

20540,22813,17021 and the usual 2005 Tridents on the 2/2a.
17018,18362 on the 55/55a.
47021 on the 6a.
14204 on school service after coming off the 50.
16665 on the 80.
14195 on the 41.

Also noticed that the rear end of 20546 seems to have been repainted as it looks a lot brighter then the rest of B10's. The whole vehicle has not been done as the rest of it looks dull compared to the back. Not quite sure why this has happened.

Spotted a Travelers Choice coach working the 565 Central Lancaster High School service. It was been driven by an ex SC driver which made me think how many drivers move from SC to TC as I've seen quite a few move over the years.

Looking very smart for Megabus:

I saw a 565 at lunchtime as well...I thought I recognised the driver! No idea way/if it was going to Centro, the kids on it were too young to be at secondary school.

Some very shiny MANs around as well!

i see they've fitted bus seats to it, rather than keep the DP seating it had when it crashed haha

The roadworks in Kendal have caused absolute mayhem today. Its been alot worst then predicted, with all buses running late, nearly all day. The 555 & 755's have been running upto 30-mins late, and the X35's upto an hour late, due to roadworks in both Ulverston & Kendal.

To give you an idea how bad things have been, this afternoon, i myself departed Kendal 5-mins late going to Oxenholme, arriving in Oxenholme 52-mins late. Normally it only take about 15-mins NOT 47-mins to get to Oxenholme.

20710 which was supposed to been on the afternoon D3, was still struck in traffic in Kendal at 15.50

Yeah, was 1643 when the 1620 555 arrived in Lancaster. Fortunately the driver managed to get it back to 1710 (should be 1700) at Holme thanks to no traffic in Lancaster and missing Borwick as the rod is closed.

Noted on the Stagecoach website.

Most of our fares in Lancashire, will be changed from Sunday 20th September 2009.

We regret that increases are unfortunately necessary to enable us to maintain our services in the face of increases to our costs.

Additional Preston Citi Changes

•The Preston Citi single fares will increase to 90p/£1.10/£1.30
•The Preston Citirider will be £8.50 and the Preston Citi Dayrider £2.70.
•The Penwortham Routerider will be £7.50 and the special day return £2.

47059 on 50.
42534 on 51 (yet another step entrance on low floor advertised route, and low floors on non-advertised routes!).
34616 and 35249 on 31.
33167, 33169 and 34079 on Harrington & Seaton.
47617 came to run Workington Town Evening Services. as i have mentioned before, they are usually operated by the bus on 46A, this today was 34079. 34079 went onto annexe, 40028 came off the annexe and done a run of Seaton 47, then 47617 came.
20761 and 20768 have went on 300 to do 301's.

a bus has damaged the new railings in Workington Bus Station again. this time, between stands E and F. it looks as though something has tried to get to stand E, but came too close, so a few of the things on that section of railing are dented in. it was a Stagecoach bus that done this (this is known, even if you didnt see the incident, by the blue paint being on the damaged railings! none of the small local operators have blue livery!)

I know! I have the same problem.

Is the CCTV/refresh program still ongoing for the MANs or has it been put on hold while the Olys are sent away to be welded up & sorted?
