Has a 150/2 ever been sandwiched between the 2 coaches of a 150/1 before, so as to make a 4 coach hybrid?

I remember during the 1990s on the Stourbridge line that there were 3 coach hybrids with a 150/2 being the centre coach in the 150/1 hybrid sets.

Not sure there is much point, just couple two 150/2s together. There again Northern seem to be good at having a 150/2 coupled to a 150/1 then with a 150/2 coupled to a 142 so you don't get the benefit of two end gangway units together.

Only benefit would be it wouldn't need a new accessible toilet on both units but it would remove flexibility.

I’ve never know of it to be done but it would make sense if an operator wanted a permanent 4 car set.

Not to sure if its been reported but 150102 is back at Newton Heath in the new livery, didn't get chance to see the interior as it was stabled up at the time and I was going past on tram on my way to Manchester this afternoon

It could be done but you'd be limited to what service it could run on and taking in consideration stations with short platforms. Saying that, if Northern order in more units then there's a chance that a small pool of 4 coach hybrids could be formed.

Noticed 2 units in the last 24hrs displaying "Victoria" on the digital destination blinds rather than the full "Manchester Victoria". This isn't a problem at Rochdale or Mills Hill but seems a bit incongruous at Batley or Brighouse.

Same with some I have seen lately running to Manchester Picc just displaying "Piccadilly"

On one service earlier this week the guard had put the correct code in as the auto announcer was working on the 155 that I was on. Correctly announcing a service from Manchester Victoria to Leeds.

There is currently a big update on the trainFX systems, the guards are being given a book with all the correct and updated codes with the drivers to follow shortly. I think less scrolling is on the cards as it was hard for the passengers to read, hence the Victoria or Piccadilly only.

319 went past before and had been heavily graffitied. Surely there must be enough sets to keep it out of service, and not give the oxygen thieves the publicity they crave. Rare to see sets get attacked up here I guess, in comparison to London where it seems to be getting hammered at the moment.
