ok bit of an odd topic i know but they say the best way to better yourself is to hear what people think of you so im asking:

Whats your honest opinion about me?

from what you know,read and so on, i know hardly any of you know me personally but im sure you have an opinon of me so feel free to share it with me

be as honest as you like it takes a lot to offend me so feel free to add a personal insult if you feel it is needed

Having met people I've known first through the internet the one thing that is always the case is that I am left with the impression that they are very different "live" to how they are online, almost to the point that you could easily believe they were not the same person at all. I could have a bit of a rant here, but I'd break some of the forum rules by doing so.
So I'll just post a couple of things.

I don't particularly like you, and I have little respect for you anymore.
I find some of your posts annoying, but what they hey, they're something to laugh at.
You're constant bashing of pendos whenever someone mentions them is just irritating, and somewhat ironic since your post telling people not to post if they've got nothing constructive to bring to the thread.
I could go on, but I really can't be bothered, and have better things to do.

Honestly wouldn't worry about it 37401. We are (mostly) all as faceless as you are, you have opinions, everyone else has opinions, but it's a forum and that's what it's about. While some other posters may not rate many of your posts, that's no reason not to post them.

Pendos-I like em and the scrapyard thing was a joke just to annoy a mate of mine did intend to remove it

The MD comment wasnt ment to be taken seriously, i dont expect people to go contacting the MD, chances are they wont reply anyways, best resorse of info are rail mags

Don't get hung up on what other people think about you though, I know your young (and without meaning to sound patronising, sometimes people forget that) but even so life is still too short

I find myself agreeing with Bighat. I'd also say that you are probably trying to 'fit in' and gain/win friends rather than just being honest and your true self. For example, elsewhere you describe this forum as 'pathetic' yet you continue to visit and participate regularly. I guess that peer pressure, fitting in and generally gaining your own identity is a common thing for people your age.

As others have said, don't take the comments too personally!

Normally I would tend to agree with your viewpoint, but in this case, not so.

Member has been on the forum for about 8 months and has made about 725 posts.

As a regular '4 a day man' (that sounds rather disgusting (TBH), he certainly is a regular comment-er and participant, but the comments ARE better than 'Tiffin-esk', both in content and quality.

As was observed by The Black Watch, I also detect a strong desire to 'fit in', be 'one of the lads', be generally acceptable.

He is, by the very nature of the beast, trying too hard, and will leave himself open to ridicule in the future if he does not take care.

Fortunately, some of those who would have delighted and specialised in such abuse are now no longer here, but in another place!

When it comes to online forums etc, never judge someone until you have met them. People are very different in person than they might seem from what they can type. If you don't like what someone online is saying don't read it and don't bite, you don't benefit from it and it doesn't help.

The basic point of a forum is a place where people argue points of view and when proven wrong pretend they don't care when actually they are learning just abit more and are pleased with the results.
Also it can usually be a place where people slander each other because if it were face to face conversation they would run off scared and they actually have a few social problems so being an internet a** seems to take the worlds problems away from them.
These days I know who is worth chatting to on this forum and rather than thinking "who likes me here" like I used to I usually think "Do I actually like them".

You seem fine. You were helpful when i had a thread asking for advice about my work experience. From what i have picked up you love loco's especially 37's and you had pendo's with a passion (the smile doesn't mean i hate them too).
