I have tried today in 3 different corner shops with a Pay Point machine to purchase this monthly pass for £65 (http://www.systemonetravelcards.co.uk/travelcards/details/smart-28-day-adult-any-bus). I have got this activated in a Travelshop and have registered it online. I didn't buy it at the Travelshop at the time but may do unless you can assist me.

One shop had never used the PayPoint machine before. Another shop could find something named System One but didn't want to take money from me if it was incorrect (and not £65 either). The last shop had never seen the Get Me There card before (although it was released in February 2016!)

How can I navigate a cashier through the Pay Point machine to access this monthly pass? I don't want to return to the Travelshop in Wigan centre all the time.

Thanks.

Most of the menus are self explanatory, but not everyone is cool with trial and error and would require a formal training session to sell your chosen product. It's quite a big issue with various products available from Paypoint.

There are many thousands of PayPoint retailers - ask one if you can have a go on the machine to find the product, then memorise the process. I did exactly this with an obscure item I buy in large volumes from them so it's definitely possible. In fact I might be buying some tonight so will try and find out if you haven't done so already.

Alternatively, you could try getting them to get instructions from the Paypoint retailer support line - https://www.paypoint.com/en-gb/retailer/support

I can't imagine any member of staff letting me behind the counter or twisting the machine around for me but I appreciate the reply. I asked the same question on my local Facebook network and have three promising leads to follow up.

If retailers are struggling to find products via the PayPoint, then you should point them in the direction of the PayPoint Helpline. That's what it's there for. I've had numerous conversations with customers at my work as the shop didn't know what they looking for.

Just a side note, the older PayPoint machines seem to the ones that are notoriously difficult to find stuff on, the new ones seem to find stuff a lot easier.
