Saw 2 ex FGW 150s in service today. I remember someone asking if they would be refurbished before entering service.

Anyone know the numbers?

150 125 is the next ex gwr 150-1 to get prm/ corrosion Work done , 5-March apparently, 149 leaves sat morning and is replaced by 144

Regarding the 155s/"Siamese Dogboxes", 346 was the first one done (taking over a year!) and 345 was the next one- wasn't aware it'd emerged yet but I'd expect it wouldn't take quite as long: Brodies will have at least known what they were getting into the second time around!

They'll get the new livery eventually, along with a reorganised interior (fewer seats in the driving cars, allowing more standing room). They're already 2020-proof though so they aren't a priority.

Speaking of liveries though, I thought that the Northern Connect services were supposed to be distinctly branded from "ordinary" Northern... in which case, could the apparently standard livery actually be an interim solution until Connect is launched?

Well given the livery on photos of the CAF units look the same I doubt it. On the Northern Website there is Northern Connect logo which one would assume they will get..

Not 100% sure this is the right place to post but I was on 150122 today, it's on the Preston to Hazel Grove service. It hasn't had PRM mod's yet, still in FGW interior, plain blue outside, the only sign of Northern is the "Customer infomation" poster.

I think that is too revolutionary for Northern

Also the Northern franchise agreement mentions that Connect standard units will be used on non-Connect routes and that all the 158s will be refurbished to Connect standard, not just a batch reserved for Connect routes.
