seems pretty pointless!
the 685 branded coaches are refurbed with LED, and are really well looked after. unlike the Jonckheere's, which are wrecked inside, and i can't remember the last time when all 4 were in service on the same day.

4 of these Volvo B7R's are for X4/X5 (this years order)
I was talking to a Carlisle driver today, who told me that they are getting 2 of LL's Jonckheere's later this year for the 685! I don't think he was too chuffed! Lol

I will say again; this is LAST YEARS ORDER.

Ok, so the B7Rs have been confirmed, but they won't be any of those listed above, they'll be above the top end of the range if you get me.

With a good refurb the Jonckheere's would be fine for another few years, they are only S reg, which is not old for a bus!
I don't think 52626 will re-gain its Trans Cumbria branding once repainted, seems pointless for 3 or 4 months.

refurb, and 6 month solid mechanical work would get them sorted haha

What does putting a bus into reserve actually mean? Is it still operational, because 14210 is still out and about - I saw it today on the 6.

the transfer list i posted is what happened during May. it is possible that a vehicle entered the reserve fleet, and was then put back onto operational fleet. that happened with 20777 last year at Lillyhall. it also recently happened at CE with 10728. vehicles can often be operated off the reserve fleet though, as happened at Lillyhall. 33167 and 33168 were, until recently, operated off the reserve fleet. the 04 reg solo's have also been operated off reserve, however, they should all now be on operational fleet.

That's the Saturday timetable that will be amended. It's supposed to provide better connections with services in Lancaster, and give a 30min frequency with the 555/6 all day.

47024 ran the 22 today, which is usually B10M operated. 47024 has advert for Workington MegaRider on the side.
47617 on Moorclose Circular 51 in Workington. this has adverts for Whitehaven.
47059 on Moorclose Circular 50 in Workington. this has adverts for Workington.
33168, 33169 and 34079 on Harrington & Seaton in Workington. 34079 has adverts for Whitehaven.
40445, 47023 and 47062 all went on 1 in Whitehaven. 47023 having Workington adverts.
47616 on Mirehouse Circular 3.

33169, 40445 and an 04 reg solo on Harrington & Seaton.
so, out of 12 low floors, the 9 buses needed to cover the low floor routes can't be met!
20129 on 31.

Whitehaven - Egremont 30A is apparently going to be advertised as low floor from the next timetable print, with 34079 being the main bus. not sure how true that is.

would make sense to get it low floor really. 30 is low floor, 30A running inbetween it (hopefully you get what i mean lol). passengers are getting the choice of a step entrance, or a nearly new enviro 300 when travelling between Whitehaven and Egremont, i'd guess most will wait for the low floor, with it being easier to access (seeing as most passengers will be old people with their free passes, making the ticket machines crash).
i suppose it would make sense with 34079 having Whitehaven MegaRider advert on the side of it. might as well have it on the Whitehaven services, rather than the Workington ones. looks odd when you get Whitehaven adverts on buses in Workington, then Workington adverts on buses in Whitehaven. suppose most passengers wouldn't take much notice though (just like the Lakes College adverts on the Enviro's having the incorrect phone number! i didn't know that the area code for Whitehaven area was 01964!!!)

Didn't see much today, except that 34217 which was supposed to gone to Scotland last weekend, was on Town Service.

20780 the Laurel & Hardy bus was in Kendal bus station at 16.50, loading up for Barrow. It is not known, if it was a duplicate, or a replacement for the 16.30 departure.

16668 was in back of Carlisle depot with side and rear displays panneled over. the "in Lancashire" stickers have been removed so far lol.
10728 was also shoved to the side of the depot, as was a Routemaster!

42025 was running around on the 69.
one of the Carlisle Citi branded darts on the Whitehaven to Carlisle, via Cockermouth, 600!
quite a few darts were just sitting around the depot, and B10M's were out and about.
NC bodied dart N656 CHF (32923) was in the sheds.
20994 on 554.
one of the ex Manchester B10M's at Carlisle has a rear CCTV camera inside it, but no stickers anywhere saying it has CCTV fitted.

Strangely 34079 was on Greenbank 2 today!

will have saved a bit of diesel lol.
i've never saw more than 10 people at a time on that service. think its only the peak runs in morning and afternoon that require the capacity (school kids)
