I'm told [by Paul McGill actually] that 30281 will be staying until the tax/MOT runs out or it blows up. Whichever is sooner!

I must have just missed you DallamLad, I got down just before 14208 came in. In fact, I probably walked right past you. Bloody sunglasses!

Also they are re servicing the tarmac on Euston road so the 2a has been diverted down the prom.

Thats on for 3 weeks I think in the evenings only. I assume the 2A and 40 are going along Thornton Road and possibly Northumberland Street to get back into the centre to get onto West End Rd.....

Couple of MANS on the 2/2a this morning with 14295 coming off schools and running the X3. 30281 on the X1. Everything else as normal.

Also noticed that Lancaster drivers have taken to hitting their horn once or twice before reversing out of the bus station.

Don't mind these, front looks a bit funny though lol

Are Fishwicks getting anything new this year?

Yes. Fishwicks are due more Pulsars.

I've noticed about the hors as well- only SC Lancaster drivers do it, presumably to stop others reversing out at the same time. I've seen one collision and countless near misses.

18366 was on suspended tow behind a Heysham Trucks recovery lorry going into Lancaster (and presumably Whitelund) on Caton Road.

More Kendal stuff for Lanc to deal with lol.

Oh great they not investing in deckers? In fact their fleet is mainly single decks isn't it. Love the green livery think it looks really smart :)

47060 on Moorclose Circular 51 with scrolling on side display! it had 51 static, then "Moorclose Circular. Buy a Workington Day Rider for only £2.30" on scroll.

No, Stagecoach still have the 89 contract if indeed it is contracted. The successful bidders took over the contracts at the start of May.

A B10M was noted heading north up the M6 with new panels, so was presumably off to Carlisle for painting. I think it was 20463 but I can't be sure.

Oh right I must have got it confused with something else. One of Battersby's Merc was on the 89 around 6 this evening.

Oh nice for a B10 to be repainted look forward to seeing it :)

Oh I see cool :)

I was just in Preston ans was impressed to see an ex PB solo driving along with its roller blind automatically changing without the driver turning the handle. Didn't know they did that lol.

No, but it's hardly surprising when you think about it. I'm surprised Stagecoach don't have it fitted to their vehicles!

Alot of buses have this fitted Examples include Scania's in PMT land with First.

Heard some K Reg B10M's will be replaced in the coming weeks by Manchester's Remaining High Floor R-XVM's?

Not sure if that is true or not, I know Manchester are getting rid of them this year, but many are heading to the Highlands. Would be nice though....

Lillyhall are now using the scroll function on their LED destination blinds.

saw 20757 showing off its scrolling today! Penrith X5 via Cockermouth, Thornthwaite, Keswick, Threlkheld. looked very smart!

a lot of buses have it on rear display as well now. number at the top, and then destination on scroll on the bottom.

33169, 47024 and 47061 were on Harrington & Seaton.
47060 and 47023 on Moorclose Circulars.
47060 later disappeared, 33169 went onto 50, and 40445 went onto Harrington & Seaton.
16651, 16653, 16654 and 16734 on 300.
20757 on X5 with aforementioned scrolling.
25225 on 30.
20752 and 16733 been on Staff Shuttles.
20134 on 48.
20129 and 20753 been on 31.

in Carlisle, the Osprey Bus was running around.
14232 and 16355 on 554.
33162 was on Brampton 685.
52408 was on 66.
20107 was on 104 :D my old school bus haha
13297 and 16330 were on School Work. was nice to see 13297 being used, and not sitting in dead lanes at Lillyhall!
42577 was on the 101 with a scrambled bright tech.
Citi branded 34687 on Silloth 38.
20960 on 79.
20761 on 600.
34048 on 75 with a Citi branded Dart.

they must have thought they'd put scrolling on 300 as well, cos the inspector went onto 16734 when i was waiting for it, and they were messing around with the control unit for ages, with a driver popping off to look at the front display each time they'd done something!
i find it odd that they updated 33169's, cos that only gets used on town services, which only have scrolling on side and rear. both of which are not on 33169!

something i should have mentioned in my earlier post, whilst on the way back from Carlisle, i ended up on the one that picks up at Netherhall School. the behaviour from the students was absolutely ridiculous!!! there was 5 of us on the upper deck before they all got on! 2 of them moved to lower deck due to the behaviour!

Unless they are going to have them all scrolling eventually, I don't know to be honest, the side displays on the Solo's are scrolling advertising dayriders, the only scrolling that I seen on the MAN's were the rear displays. I didn't see any of the Dart's on 31/31A's so I don't know about them.

35248 and 25225 have both been updated.
rear display on 47060 was also advertising the day rider, showing exactly the same as the side display.
47061 still has a non working rear display, didnt see the side

Did not see much today, when I was driving the Kendal service bus, as i was running late, due to running with a full standing load most of the time, a number of passengers were complaining, saying that buses have failed to operate.

33164, 33165, & 47057 on Kendal Town services, with 20710 doing a couple of trips before the afternoon D3.

16663 heading dead toward Heysham. Also yesterday 47021 heading dead in the direction of the motorway. A MAN on the X1 and the rest as far as I've seen is as normal.

The new development near pizza hut in Lancaster has anew sign outside of it saying something like "the old bus depot" then stuff about housing. Would be good to see some pics of the site when it was a depot!
