Only ever used Burger King at Waterloo.
The only Wendy's I went into was in Brighton back in the early 1980s

Expensive, but used to do a good breakfast.
Greggs are absolutely awful for food, stuff that claims to be warm but isn't.
Slightly off-topic but still related to McDonalds, anybody think of a worst designed restaurant than the McDonalds at Waterloo, mainly due to its lack of a meaningful queueing system. Could do with being redesigned to remove some of the centre seating to have a proper queue (like Burger King in Waterloo). Rather than the free-for-all it is at the moment
I found a little chef just outside Ringwood on probably the A31 in June. I went in for breakfast which was nice but pricey, it’s the only one I recall seeing in years
Is there a McDonalds and Burger King now at Waterloo (main)? The last time I passed through Waterloo (main) many years ago there was just a Burger King, iirc Burger King wasn't too far to the right of the steps to the walkway that leads to Waterloo East, when you face away from the platforms
Noting the implications stated in this thread title about town centres, Stockport town centre still has a McDonalds outlet that boasts "24 hours a day/ 7 days a week"
I wonder how well the relative newcomer, Subway are faring in town centre locations
My son is currently visiting and he would like to add that quite a few years ago, he could order what was termed an "Egg McMuffin" which was never advertised as such. He does say that he liked the "Double Sausage Egg McMuffin" that was on sale at the same time until 1030.
Both are still on the menu.
I'm surprised that some locations don't have a drive thru on each side of the restaurant.
There are some that definately need it...
Whenever ive used the subway drinks dispenser its tasted weak or tasted like cleaning chemicals .I like the self-pour drinks, in particular because it allows you to make your own "dishwater"/"Spezi"/"Mezzo Mix" (basically half Coke half Fanta, on sale as a product in its own right in Germany and absolutely lovely!)
Not dissimilar to orange Coke which the fancy "freestyle" machines do, but more refreshing I find because the Coke flavour is diluted a bit by the Fanta.

Never heard of it , Glasgow has a sole Tim Hortons but not for much longerStranger things have happened: Project Pie is an American pizza chain with one location in Europe. London? Paris? Berlin? Nope, Dundee.

One thing about Subway is you cant really totally have a create your own sub
Yup. Start with the sub from the menu that's closest to what you want and ask them to substitute/hold ingredients. You near enough can, though they might take a while to find a way to work out what to charge you for it.
Yeah thats the problem you get charged for extra meat and cheese onto an existing subYou near enough can, though they might take a while to find a way to work out what to charge you for it.
I suspect that a significant number of their locations are rented rather than owned outright.I wonder how much the existing property portfolio of McDonalds is said to be valued at in their UK accounts?
I always have sausage without egg muffin, and find after that I get bad wind, so not the egg as I don’t eat eggAnyone else find Mcds eggs in the breakfast stuff makes you pass wind ?
It has been some years since I served my time in McD's, but as far as I'm aware it's just milk and the flavour syrup; it may well be something in the latter that's causing the issue. What is it in a McDonald's milk shake that makes me cough? I only ever have one once or twice a year, but very often it has this effect.
