Expensive, but used to do a good breakfast.

I found a little chef just outside Ringwood on probably the A31 in June. I went in for breakfast which was nice but pricey, it’s the only one I recall seeing in years

Greggs are absolutely awful for food, stuff that claims to be warm but isn't.

No no no. Greggs don't claim their food is hot. They'd have to charge VAT if they did.

I can't hate Greggs. Their charitable foundation is a good source of new white goods for my clients who have nothing. It shouldn't soften my opinion, but somehow it does.

Slightly off-topic but still related to McDonalds, anybody think of a worst designed restaurant than the McDonalds at Waterloo, mainly due to its lack of a meaningful queueing system. Could do with being redesigned to remove some of the centre seating to have a proper queue (like Burger King in Waterloo). Rather than the free-for-all it is at the moment

Is there a McDonalds and Burger King now at Waterloo (main)? The last time I passed through Waterloo (main) many years ago there was just a Burger King, iirc Burger King wasn't too far to the right of the steps to the walkway that leads to Waterloo East, when you face away from the platforms

We used to have one near Brookland on the Romney Marsh. The tinted windows meant that it always looked closed - until someone went in then others would follow. Until one day when it really was closed.

McDonalds is down stairs near the entrance on Waterloo Road and to the jubilee line ticket hall

I'm surprised that some locations don't have a drive thru on each side of the restaurant.
There are some that definately need it...

My son is currently visiting and he would like to add that quite a few years ago, he could order what was termed an "Egg McMuffin" which was never advertised as such. He does say that he liked the "Double Sausage Egg McMuffin" that was on sale at the same time until 1030.

Both are still on the menu.

Unlike in other countries the Egg McMuffin isn't specifically on the menu, but you can omit any component you like from any item so you can create it by having a "sausage and egg without the sausage" which would be cooked to order for you. The touchscreen ordering system makes this dead easy, you have a "customise" button on most items, and you just uncheck the bits you don't want.

It is on the menu, it's an Egg & Cheese McMuffin. I know that isn't specifically egg only, but i've never seen it any other way.

By rights, they should have an archway (golden?) that literally allows you to drive through!

I like the self-pour drinks, in particular because it allows you to make your own "dishwater"/"Spezi"/"Mezzo Mix" (basically half Coke half Fanta, on sale as a product in its own right in Germany and absolutely lovely!)

Not dissimilar to orange Coke which the fancy "freestyle" machines do, but more refreshing I find because the Coke flavour is diluted a bit by the Fanta.

Whenever ive used the subway drinks dispenser its tasted weak or tasted like cleaning chemicals .

Stranger things have happened: Project Pie is an American pizza chain with one location in Europe. London? Paris? Berlin? Nope, Dundee.
Never heard of it , Glasgow has a sole Tim Hortons but not for much longer

You near enough can, though they might take a while to find a way to work out what to charge you for it.
Yup. Start with the sub from the menu that's closest to what you want and ask them to substitute/hold ingredients.

What is it in a McDonald's milk shake that makes me cough? I only ever have one once or twice a year, but very often it has this effect.

It has been some years since I served my time in McD's, but as far as I'm aware it's just milk and the flavour syrup; it may well be something in the latter that's causing the issue.
