Doesn't matter about the order. They are all as bad as one another. If I remember correctly 150261 was the first to go for PRM Mods but not re liveried at the time.

150261 doesn't have any PRM mods fitted. The first to go was 150219 which was fitted with the mods and was refreshed with FGW blue at the same time (the same with 150238 and followed by the interior of 150232)

Some green hst coaches were being loaded onto low loaders at Derby for a transfer back to GWR. 42361 was one I saw whilst 44005 was being shunted into position by a class 31.
Interestingly there were a couple of Gwr barrier coaches so I assume they came by rail.

It's an improvement, however I notice they've left the bins blue and pink which looks a little odd!! ;)

Yeah they were only doing a minor interior refurbishment for some reason

Strangely enough it seems to have been somewhat the other way round for the HSTs, some vestibules started to change colour scheme before the livery!

150261 has been once and had a C6 but hasn't had toilet tanks fitted. Will return with these and new livery.

Shame they couldn't do the same for the class 165/6s....

All in good time. With 57 GWR Turbo sets needing accessible toilets to make them DDA-complaint, the priority at this stage is to get all that work done.

The 166s will be getting 2+2 seating throughout and air cooling will be fitted to the 165s, so while those changes going on, you can expect to see other work on the interiors too.

Forgive me for asking but what usually happens in a C6?
New paint job, new interior, new flooring etc. Basically an aesthetic overhaul. In the case of GWR DMU's, having toilets with tanks fitted with are DDA compliant. I expect someone can give some more details.

Thanks for that. It does/did have new-ish flooring and obviously the external paint job.

Ok guys. I'm going to repost an update. There will be mistakes. You can then tell me those. Then I will post a second update shortly after that, so that we are fully up to date.

Whilst a C6 may contain those elements, the basic overhaul is what could be termed an "above frame" body overhaul - it does not necessarily include new interior. PRM compliance work, in particular, is not a core C6 component, but is often done during a C6 as it reduces vehicle downtime.

Hi, I’m TT-ONR-NRN and I’m in charge of your GWR Livery Updates, having taken over the reins from 59Cos95, who is currently hard at work studying! I will try and update regularly.

*UPDATE: Um. There are currently some colour issues. Will work on these to try and get the colour coding back.

These two power cars and set LA02 need removing from the list as they are no longer on lease to GWR.

I would also point out just to make the list simpler, that when sleeper buffet 10217 does eventually make an appearance new to fleet, it will be green.

I noticed when I got on 165112 the other day, its single loo has been replaced with a disabled one, similar to the one they're putting in the 166s (making one disabled and one standard loo per unit in those). So are they doing this to all the 165s, fitting them with just the one disabled loo?

Yes, although the actual name is a Universally Accessible Toilet (UAT)

I was on a pacer on Friday. It looks as if there are two types - One with just the external paint job and the interior left unchanged; and the second with an interior 'refresh' - The one I used had the new seat coverings, painted seat tops and all the Barbie pink had gone except what was left on one bin lid. (I do have a photo but am using my mobile and the file is too large - I'll upload later)

the three that have had internal work done are the three that are franchise assets and will be staying the longest.

I believe 113 is in the same boat as 112, both in GWR green but have no branding on them

AFAIK the comments that apply to 165116 also apply to 165117

Still yet to see a repainted two car 165....

165112 / 113 / 114: unbranded GWR Green
165116 / 117: At Wolverton, will return in green.

The reason you haven’t seen a 2 car is because none have been to Wolverton for C6 work yet. As 117 is the last of the 3 cars then the 2 cars will be next, presumably with 165118 the first to go.
