Permitted routes between Skipton and London

I haven't got a clue about this routing lark. Could some kindly person please advise if any of the following are valid for travel between Skipton and London on a 'normal' ticket:

Skipton - Lancaster - Euston
Skipton - Lancaster - Birmingham - Marylebone
Skipton - Leeds - Birmingham - Marylebone
Skipton - Peterborough - Cambridge - Kings Cross
Skipton - Peterborough - Cambridge - Liverpool St

Next time I go to London and have time to spare I wouldn't mind making an excursion of it.

Others will correct me if I am wrong (I have not had time to check properly) but I don't think that Skipton to London is valid via Lancaster. Nor do I think it's valid via Birmingham (you're not valid on Derby to Birmingham).

The last two routes via Cambridge are fine. You can also go via Lincoln. You could also do the MML (via either Derby or Nottingham) to St Pancras.

I was aware of the St Pancras routing - even our corporate travel provider throws up those options on the through services to or from Leeds.

Skipton - Giggleswick single plus Giggleswick - London Terminals return, allows a round trip outward via Lancaster and returning via MML or ECML etc.

Skipton - Leeds - Birmingham - Marylebone

Skipton - High Wycombe ticket routed +Any Permitted allows a round trip outward via BMO & MYB providing you get a train that calls at High Wycombe, and returning via MML or ECML etc.

The RP calculator isn't always right (people have discovered issues with other routes too).

It's the interpretation of more than one booking engine that Lancaster Group passes the fares check.

I think I read somewhere that booking engines don't use the first-routing-point-group-member-encountered rule (Carnforth in this case) and instead do the fares check using a 'principal' group member - or did I imagine that?
