unidentified 0-6-0 'loco' at Barrow Hill?

[Robinson102]

Hi All,

I have been going through my photos taken at this years Rail Ale festival at Barrow Hill, and have come across one featuring a set of frames, wheels, and bunker of a locomotive.

Having checked through the Barrow Hill website, I can find nothing which specifically matches up to being it - so I am turning to yourselves to hopefully tell me what it is I am looking at!

Picture attached showing the mystery 'rolling chassis'.

Thanks!

Is it perhaps an 'Austerity' tank engine?

If you want a real challenge, try a visit to Tanfield.

This was my thought too.

Certainly this would make sense.

The lack of any recent updates on the Barrow Hill Websites 'Stock list', has not made this easy to figure out!

There is (at least) one loco on there which is no longer based at Barrow Hill, and hasn't been for some time as far as I can gather.

It should be HE3192/44, which is under repair at Barrow Hill.
