Have 170204 or 321448 turned a wheel in service yet?
Also I read that 313205 recently went to Wolverton. Why and is it back yet?

I've got a couple, 142072 (fire last year) and 150208 (saw this split several months ago).
Anyone know what's happening with these?
TIA.
150208 is out and about but never was out of action for any length of time.
142072 last reported as still being assessed but seems somewhat of a mystery, especially as ATW reluctant to disclose the reason as to the cause of the fire. A local MP did keep pressing ATW for info and still managed to drag a little more out of them but not the full story.
Ok ta - 150208 doesn't seem to have allocated recently though, well at least every time I've remembered to check over the last few months! Annoyingly they're the last two I need!
When did you see 150208 in two bits ? It was working in March as I've just seen a picture of it
the remainder of the unit was shipped off to the MOD. Whats left of it is now scattered confetti like across the Cumbrian fells as the forces used it for training in the run up to the Olympic Games!
Can't see it happening though since we will soon have more BR EMUs than we know what to do with.
Likewise can't see ATWs pacer ever carrying passengers again seeing as costly repairs will now be unviable due to withdrawal deadline.
All of it? I'm fairly sure it was only the trailing DMOC, the one which suffered the most damage in the accident. That's what I was told five years ago.
Rail Magazine said:n the East Repair Shed stand the remains of 365526, which was written off in the 2002 Potters Bar accident. They will be disposed of, but for now they stand forlornly in a dilapidated building that could (unlike the ‘365’) have a future.
So having had the dubious honour of being the conductor working 170204 during its tractor altercation in a poetic circle of life kinda way I drove it in Norwich this morning for its first day back in service.

As an aside, at least one of the pre-production 2009 Tube stock trains found its way to Spadeadam around the same time. It's never been fully clear if all this is for firing practice or explosive testing, both have been suggested by reliable sources.
And that was the kiss of death (for the poor deer anyway) on its first trip the 05:33 Cambridge![]()
Thought I'd have an update.
Since thread began returning to service were 170204, 333009, 150219, 155346, 455845
Still out or new to the list:
165124
142072
43160
321448
317722
313030
350264
221144
350233
332014
444002
There is something afoot with 221144 with some reforming of 221s. I'm not sure what the end product will look like though.
43160 worked 0730 Paddington to Penzance today and has been back in service for some time now.

Has the return been successful (apart from the deer)? Is it likely that I will catch her if visiting the area on Friday??
Yes you should. Been diagrammed in traffic as normal.
As a side question, does this mean that the Class 68 set will be stood down from the Norwich - Lowestoft runs?
