Does anyone know if Eurovision has been on yet? I cut any reference to it out of my TV before the weekend started without, if I may gloat, sawing lumps out of my hand in the process

Been and gone, mercifully. Was the weekend just gone (13th May) and was won by Portugal. Apparently, we didn't do awfully, which is nice

Today is the 115th anniversary of the discovery of the Antikythera mechanism. We should all be grateful as before that there was no cure for a dose of the kytheras.

I tried that but turns out they were disbanded in 1945 without cleaning up their mess :lol:

Assuming that someone, somewhere would have a birthday soon I bought a greetings card. It's got one of those naughty seaside postcard cartoons on it. How traditional and quintessentially British can you get? Here's what it says on the back:

...as British as fish and chips

Yorkshire based Bamforth & Co. are renowned for the risque postcards they have produced for over 100 years...
and in tiny print at the bottom:

Made in USA

More British jobs being exported to third world countries!

It's my birthday tomorrow and I don't care where the card was made, it's the fact that you thought of me that matters Dale.
People are wrong with the things they say about you. I knew you'd come good.

Actually they were right with the things they said about me, although I bought the card for you the cruel part is that I'm not going to send it. I build you up then let you down hard; that should ruin your birthday quite nicely.

Can't believe it. It's no wonder people turn to trains. You know where you are with trains.

I shall wish ye a happy birthday now, Cowley, seeing as it's after midnight. I might not be fit to do so in the morning.

Happy Birthday Mr C, will the hefty number of candles on your cake mean you can leave the electric off for another day?

I must say that having a birthday treat at Gloucester services has never featured in any copy of "100 ways to enjoy your birthday" I've ever seen, could catch on though ..

Is this enough?
It isn't a birthday candle. This is working python code, though be wary of running it using Cowley's real age!

Code:
import webbrowser
Cowleysbirthday = int(input("How old is Cowley?"))

for i in range(0,Cowleysbirthday):
    webbrowser.open("https://goo.gl/tWKzvp")

Oh blimey thanks. I thoroughly recommend a birthday weekend in Gloucester services. Just sign out of the forum though so that when you spend the day in a toilet cubicle on there looking at posts on further uses for class 442 units no one realises that you've got nothing better to do.
