Was seen with it's nose poking out of Barton Hill last week so can only have been very recently. Have you actually seen it in traffic or are you just going by the updated livery list posted today ?
It was still poking out of Barton Hill yesterday afternoon.

Still at Barton Hill today - I wonder if they're doing some finishing off as only Coach B and C were present when I saw it earlier!

This has happened before, it's usually a week or more between it appearing outside the workshop and entering service. The workshop doesn't look long enough to accommodate 3 cars on the same track.

Didn't notice there were some with no catering shown at all; the ones I was looking at are marked with a H but have a trolley symbol rather than the tea/coffee mug that denotes ExpressCafe/Larder. In particular, the ones I was looking at are the 11:20 PAD to Great Malvern and 14:25 Great Malvern return (M-F workings), but the 15:49 PAD - Moreton-in-Marsh and 20:22 PAD to Great Malvern are also marked with a trolley rather than a buffet.

11:20 PAD - GMV
14:25 GMV - PAD
15:49 PAD - MIM

These definitely are buffet throughout the entire journey.

I'm not sure how anyone was supposed to work out that you were referring to HSTs with a trolley symbol on the top of the column when your first post said:

Also, can somebody explain to me why some London-Worcester/Malvern trains are marked with a H but no Larder/Cafe symbol on the timetable?

In the first three of those cases, the trolley symbols were leftovers from previous timetables, when the services were worked by 180s - though at that time the 15.49 went through to Worcestershire. The 20.22 was probably just a mistake.

All corrected in the new pocket timetable.

158951 has definitely left Barton Hill now as I have seen picture of it standing in Temple Meads. Probably requires Test Run first as is the norm.

Thank you both for the reassuring answers.

Sorry, at the time I wrote that I hadn't noticed that there were some trips with no catering at all, so I assumed that 'not marked buffet' was equal to being 'marked trolley'.

150202 is a strange refurbed beast, play spot the peculiarities.
Essentially a 150/2 but with 150/1 3+2 seating with sections of fixed longitudinal seating by the bike spaces and toilet; there is a divider between the wheelchair space and the toilet plus a longitudinal seat sandwiched between the two; it has 2 emergency cupboards; the ramp is stowed in a cupboard facing an intermediate vestibule; the ceiling is lower in a lot of places; there a no tables; and the PIS is located in slightly different places (this is another difference - the PIS announces the next station upon departure of the previous, but not on the approach, and it can't handle request stops ie any door activation causes it to skip to the next +1 non request stop).

It is a 150/2 with original 150/2 seating but which has just not been converted to 2+2 Seating as in the case of Northerns 150/2s which have retained their 3+2.

GWR 158766 (One of the 2x2 Car ones) has gone into Barton Hill to replace 951. Perhaps it will only take 2/3 of the time to complete as compared with a 158/9:):)

I was on that one on Sunday - was coupled to 150249 (also still to be refurbished) running a service to Weymouth.

The only 150/2s left to be refurbished now are: 150221, 150243, 150249, 150261, 150265 and 150216 (currently 150916) and of course the two coaches from 150209 and 150212. (currently in the centre of 150916 and 150925).

I'm going to miss the blue and pink FGW livery, though thankfully it should live on for a while on 150219 and 150238. Dare I say I much prefer it to the new GWR livery (on multiple units at least)

just saw 150219 now reformed going down to penzance from bristol

Where abouts? The 05.24 from Bristol to Penzance was cancelled at Taunton due to a fault, though I believe the service was restarted from Exeter.

Yes 150219 worked to Penzance today, the rebuilt cab was on the Penzance end. Very noticeable as it was a lot cleaner than the rest of the unit & having been recently painted as well.

This service was worked to Penzance by 150128. 150219 replaced 150247 on the following service.
