Class 456: What routes, and where to find them?

Shortly (19/05) I will be heading to London (and Aylesbury) with the intention of going on a few items of rolling stock I have not travelled on previously.

On this trip I am going to cover Class 121s and Class 379s, which are easy to find, but one thing occured to me, what routes exactly do SWT Class 456s operate on?

I am aware that they operate with Class 455s on the 'red' routes, but are there any particular route that they operate on? If not, not a massive problem, as I will be able to wait at Waterloo until I see one approaching, but knowledge of what particular route/services they operate would be much appreciated.

If you join the UK Modern EMU group on Yahoo Groups, the CWNs (Carriage Working Notices) can be found in the files area. These tell you the booked formations for each train.

As well as the Ascot-Guildford and 10-car formations listed above, there are also a number of 8-car 455+456+456 workings.

There's quite a few 8 car 1x455 + 2x456 diagrams on the Epsom / Chessington / Guildford via Cobham / Dorking group of services on a weekday.

Now that's quite handy to know if in a rush while in the area. I must bear that in mind for next time I pop to London!

That's only the 10 car ones isn't it?

The 16.54 Waterloo - Dorking is 1D47 and is usually formed 455 + 456 + 456.

There are other 455/456/456 workings, I'm just pointing out an easy identifier that 9s are 455/455/456 unless something breaks.

Just 2 sets on a Saturday, with the others being 450.

There are 5 Ascot-Guildford diagrams on a Saturday. Three are formed by a single 450, the other two each by 456+456.

So there are four 456s in service, formed as two pairs.

How many 456's are diagrammed to run via Chessington South?? I'm due to go there on Friday.
Hopefully when they start to introduce 10 car trains they'll put some 456's on Kingston loop and Shepperton trains. I have barely seen any on the Kingston line apart from an ECS from Strawberry Hill Depot.

EDIT: Just seen above. Need to try and make the 16:08 Chessington South to Waterloo on Friday because my booked train there isn't a 456+456+455
