Hmm - not sure how to get to the Dowlais & Merthyr Joint from here, but anyway the next station must be

INFORMATION

If it is of any assistance to you, it is the Quakers Yard and Merthyr Railway that we access next, which we do by taking the connecting line at Joint Lane Junction.

When we need to move from the Quakers Yard and Merthyr Railway, the next line then will be the B&MJR and LNWR Dowlais and Merthyr Joint Line.

I'm confused - I think we've skipped a few stations?

Aberfan was the first closed station on this line and there are two further stations after it before we reach the currently open station that both acts as the last station on this line and the first station of the following line (which of course we do not name on this quiz).

Not so. Pontygwaith Halt is on the Taff Vale Railway Maerdy branch line and is situated between Wattstown Platform and Tylorstown.

I think there were two Pontygwaith Halts (or platforms) one on the TVR and one on the line we are traversing. I will dig out the evidence and PM it to you later.

Rhymney Bridge

I note there are two different, albeit valid routes after Pontsarn Halt (previously known as Pontsarn and Vaynor) to have reached here. The way used on this journey was via Dowlais Top.

The other one was via Pantysgallog (Low Level) Halt and Dowlais (High Street)
