No 150s in Scotland but plenty of 156/158s

There were plenty of 150s in the olden days.

When there was the emergency withdrawal of Classs 158s, shortly after introduction, and anything that could potentially be put into service was - it wouldn't surprise me if a 150 had managed to do the daily non-stop from Glasgow to Perth.

In the mid-late 1990s Regional Railways ran a Cardiff-Brighton summer additional that was non-stop from Bath Spa to Southampton Central, presumably using a 158.

A fair collection of once a day diagrams but Caersws to machynlleth on the Cambrian Mainlineis 22 miles there's 12 trains a day that do it non stop each way.

Stockport to Sheffield is a shade under 37 miles and two 158s an hour to do that, it's not particularly exceptional!

The 18:52 from Paignton to Bristol Temple Meads after Exeter only stops at Taunton, and then runs non stop to Bristol Temple Meads. I believe it's booked to be a 150, but 153s do occasionally turn up, and I believe in the past 143s did too!!

EDIT: I see Taunton - Bristol has already been mentioned

Not quite as impressive but Friday Only 15:20 Westbury - Exeter St David's via Castle Cary is booked 153. It's a fairly long run between Castle Cary and Taunton.

They're run by class 158 Express Sprinters, not 150s as a rule.

150s do the Crewe-Chester shuttles, Crewe-Llandudno are either 158s or 175s.

Exactly. As I pointed out earlier

The only 150 booked to go down the coast is the unit that spends the day on the Blaneau branch. It runs down in the morning ECS and whilst it does come back in service, it also stops at most if not all stations so it doesn't get a great nonstop run.
Which is why I was somewhat surprised to see this:
Restricting it to 150s, probably Chester to Llandudno Jn narrowly beats Bristol TM to Taunton.
and I wanted to clarify in case there was some other service down the coast I'd forgotten about.

As it turns out, there is one other 150 service, 06:46 Llandudno-Crewe. Again though, it stops at all stations so no long distance non stop runs other than the Chester to Crewe leg already mentioned.
