I thought they were still there. What are the buses with the Stagecoach colours on the back then?

Oh right I assumed seeing as they came from London that they had 2 doors.

17012-17024 were dual doored when they were exported from London. The centre door was just ahead of the rear axle. If you look at the lower deck floor you can clearly see where the 'slope' in the floor used to be. 17015 was stopped at Lancaster on its way north for type training duties and was seen running in full London livery for around 10 days albeit not in public service, until 17012 came south after conversion at Carlisle to single door. Interestingly, they were exported with their Leyton garage blinds fitted, although TA15 gained Lancasters specially printed blinds the day it arrived in red - you had an LT liveried bus with Lancaster blinds, and a Lancaster liveried bus with LT blinds! I have photos of them somewhere, I'll upload them when I get a minute.

Daw Bank at Stockport was the admin offices for Stagecoach NW - not sure if its role has changed though.

East London/SELKENT is owned by an Austrailian banking consortium - the former Stagecoach MD is now MD of EL/SELKENT. Most of their fleet still carries Stagecoach swoopy rear or plain red.

N213UHH (40013) was on the annexe at Workington Bus Station this morning (presumably came off BNG contract or Northside).
K737DAO (20737) ran the morning Seaton 47 (20737 is one of the B10m's with an LED).
K768DAO (20768 ) was on the X4 this morning.
PO51WLR (47024) was on Moorclose 51. didnt see moorclose 50.
PX08CTZ (22611) was on 31 all day, and didnt sound too good! engine seemed to be rattling a lot! it entered the bus station at around 0755.
K752DAO (20752) replaced a dart / versa on 31 today.
a lot of the 31 services were running 20 minutes late!
i later seen a 709d on Moorclose 50, but didnt see its identity as windows on coach badly misted.
K737DAO (20737) was later on Staff Shuttle.

17020 is back! Saw it working a 2A service, complete with LED destination displays. I must saw it looks very smart with its new paint as well.


20452 still does not has a screen, it was working the 1550 Halton service.

Would be great to see the Tridents in London livery!!!

I would imagine they are re touching the screen for 20452 and then sticking it back in.

Because they created a blind spot it was impossible to see up the road from the end of George St in Lancaster.

This is despite the Lancaster blinds being printed and fitted to the first couple that turned up at the depot. All were removed before the Tridents entered service. The rear blinds were removed as they were being removed from other types at the same time.

Oh I see shame they got rid of the rear blinds but as was mentioned they are getting new LED's woop. Spotted one of the B6's on the 3 today what the hell is going on lol they must have been desperate!!! lol. Did 17020 have new seat covers?

17020 has new seat covers, CCTV and new LED blinds front and back. 17017 is in the workshop having work done after an accident but hasn't had an LED fitted yet but it may still happen as all of them are meant to be getting done.

N465VOD (40445) was running Northside 48 this morning. display wasnt working, and had boards for Northside in windscreen.
K761DAO (20761) was on Workington Bus Station annexe this morning (this is one with Dual Purpose seating).
N358MPN was running Whitehaven 300 at approximately 1030.
PX08CSU (25225) was on Frizington 31 this morning.
N206UHH (40006) was on Seaton 47.

i went to Carlisle today, and was on R251NBV (16651) going out, and N358MPN (16358 ) coming back. 16358 is desperate for refurbishment! it could do with not going back out on the 300 really, a little small! only having 75 seated capacity, compared to the 87 on the R reg oly's. also, on 16651, i noticed some plates on the ceiling on upper deck, which look like they are covering gaps where a CCTV system has previously been installed.

in Carlisle:
R670LFV (42670) was running 101.
P977UBV (52405) was in the bus station on lay over from 685. Arriva were running the 685 service when i was there.
R959XVM (20959) was on layover, along with another B10m (R904XVM, 20904 i think it was).
R???MCW was also there, but didnt see what was on display.

back at Workington:
PX56CWN (35247) was running Workington 31 from Maryport.
K779DAO (20779) was in the bus station.

It looks as if the back of 17020 has been completely rebuilt as it looks like the rear of a 2005 trident. It even has new back likes which makes it look different then the others.

i suppose making them look newer is a lot cheaper for SC than replacing them with newer vehicles. SC will be too busy spending cash on preston!

Oh nothing wrong with the old Tridents there as tough as nails lol have a lot of fight left in em. I'm sure they will all get done but I don't think they will all have new back lights which annoys me lol ha ha.

they all need done! would look odd having one looking different to the rest. i say that about lillyhall (don't think i've said it on here). N128YRM (40028 ) had a full refurb a few year ago, and looks odd when its with the other 709d's (here is an interior pic of 40028 ). as you can see, its pretty smart compared to the rest! if it had a little work done on the outside and an ageless plate fitted, chances are people wouldnt realise it was N reg! its like that with RBZ and VRR, people don't realise they are L and M reg!

What a waste of new seats lol. Why did they have to be high backed? Yeah it will look odd with the rest but some of ours MANS have different lights so i guess they think it doesn't matter. Was on a solo today that had green poles grrrr lol

LED tail lights are the new standard, most buses now sport LED brake/tail lights in Lancaster. It only seems to be some of the MANs & older Tridents that still have bulbs. It makes sense for TA20 to have been rebuilt using Trident 3 parts as these would be easier to obtain and as the patterns will be the same fitting them wouldnt be a problem.

Yeah your right because our MANS are from all over the place a few are different from the others. And yeah makes sense to use Trident 3 parts. Looks so smart brand new in fact.

It would be more accurate to say Trident 2.1 parts to denote the newer model, Trident 3 always has been and still is the 3 axle version.

I think all Lancasters MANs now have LED tail lights, 22822 was the first one to be done in 2004. The additional ones V reg etc are Carlisle flood victims rebuilt and dried off.

Looks great MBonwick. I think 14208 has had a refurb with new seat, floors etc so you may want to add that.

Haven't been out much today so apart from seeing 17018 on the 40 to Preston I have nothing to report.

I'm not sure about the MANS all having LED back lights. I'm sure some still have the old ones but I may be wrong. I'll be sure ti keep an eye out next time!.

K757DAO (20757) was on Workington Bus Station annexe. i think this is the only B10m with working rear display!
N212UHH (40012) was on the annexe with "Carlisle 300" on the display.
there was a 709d in the bus station, but couldnt see which it was.
S799KRM (52629) was in the bus station on lay over from X5.
N651VSS (40651) entered bus station as i was leaving town centre, but i didnt see what was on display. i have a feeling it was 50B or something.
