was just thinking, if that replaces RBZ, RBZ replaces VRR, and VRR could temporarilly go on X4/X5! would be awesome if they done that! VRR has 5 less seats than the joncks, but its so much better to travel on! reason for that thinking is VRR has ticket machine (or had when i was on it for sixth form last year), and it had a working brite tech display!

they should put on anything with digital tacho really, which VRR and RBZ both have. the one on RBZ is hidden from casual passenger though, took me a while to realise it haha. rather cleverly, the tacho on RBZ is where the radio usually is :-P VRR's is mounted under the ticket machine.

The requirement for a tacho will be as driver9000 explained a few pages ago. Basically, in a single turn a driver will cover 31+ miles, so the route has to be run under EU law, nor British Domestic.
EU law states that a tacho is required.

its weird. they'll happilly send VRR and RBZ off to anywhere in UK, but won't put it on a cumbrian service. they're also newer and probably better than the alexander PS's they put on. oh well, don't think i'll ever understand how the management think lol

N128YRM (40028 ) on Harrington 46, still has dead display.
S799KRM (52629) was on X4 Penrith.
N651VSS (40651) was in Workington Bus Station on layover from BNG Contract.
PX08FMP (47616) was on Moorclose Circular 51! there was a 51 reg one on Moorclose 50 but not sure which of the two it was.
L119HHV (32917) was on the morning Seaton service.
K761DAO (20761) was on Frizington 31 at approx. 0800, replacing an enviro 300.
N133YRM (40033) was on Harrington 46 at approx. 0805.
K737DAO (20737) was on School Service this morning.
PX08CSU (25225, versa) was on Maryport 31, leaving Red Lonning at approx. 1400.
H117SAO (14257) was on School Special after school, but display had a mixture of "SCHOOL [Graphic] SPECIAL" and "SORRY NOT IN SERVICE", mostly the latter.
there was a K reg oly on School work too.
N212UHH (40012, a reserve vehicle) was on Harrington 46.
N133YRM (40033) later went on Moorclose 50.
L119HHV (32917) was on Workington Bus Station annexe.
PX56CWN (35247) was on Maryport 31 from bus station at 1550 ish.

Had Kendal's bloody F reg Oly on D6 today. My god that thing needs getting rid of. The seats are faded to the extreme, it doesn't have a floor on the gangway (as in colored floor) and it really does look likes its on its last legs! Spotted 20790 on the 4 and 16665 on the 2. 20133 was on the 2a yesterday but they had a Trident on the 41. Surely this should have been the other way around. Also they had a MAN on the 41 today and had that B10 mentioned above on the 4. Wheres the logic?

Was in Kendal for lunch today and spotted Marshall Dart 33164. Not sure when these are all moving to Lillyhall.

unfortunately only 3 of them are coming lillyhall for the minute T605/6/7 JBA. it would be nice if all of them came, but oh well. personally i've heard nothing about when these 3 will enter service, but the sooner the better! then 3 of the 709d's can go

Forgot to mention that 18330 was broken down at Bowerham about 40 mins ago. They sent out the Ford pickup and an engineers to have a look. Had the back open etc.

UID 18xxx Trident on the 935 Ripley-Clock Tower Schools special
22807 on a 4 heading towards Heysham - with 3 on its rear indicator!!

Yeah 14208 was on the 42 yesterday as well. The 935 had Trident 2 17021 this morning. I wonder how long Lancaster's remaining Leyland Olys will last?

H117SAO these days is in Stagecoach Copropate livery would have been nice if they kept it in the "heritage" livery as a special vehicle!

this is F803FAO, 14243, an Alexander bodied Leyland Olympian, carrying pink advertising livery. its a Stagecoach Cumbria vehicle. (this is from Fotopic and not my picture). This bus is still in service in Barrow, but carries standard Stagecoach Corporate livery.

i like all the different liveried buses around, especially heritage ones. Workington Transport Heritage Trust have painted their ex Cumberland buses in the old Cumberland Motor Services livery, and i think they look really smart!

I love special livery of course Lancaster has 14204 which still has most of its original features as well as the livery.

special liveries are awesome! its a change from seeing the same stagecoach corporate livery all the time!
we need some at Lillyhall lol. everything at lillyhall is in corporate livery only thing they could do though is the Cumberland vintage livery, which they had on 14257 a few year ago.

Well what an eventful day. There was an accident this morning in Hest Bank so D6 was diverted all the way back to Lancaster and then we went onto the motorway to get to Milnthorpe. Had 14199 that struggled to get up onto the motorway lol.

17021 was on the 935 in morning just like yesterday. Had deckers on D2 and D5 which is very rare.

Yes you did the drivers had a chat. 14248 was on D2. 14199 was indeed on D6. Stupid idea re-trimming the interior. 14208 was on the 41 to Preston this morning. Should have been on a school run for example the 935 rather then the Trident which should have been on the 41.

Preston but share holders vote tomoz. I think they are planning to have a last bus in tribute with their oldest Oly. riding around in it or something as a last goodbye.

Anyone can go on the PB tribute run with their oldest Oly, it is a recognised journey.

I thought the Preston Bus vote was today (21st).

I can honestly say I think the sale will be approved, and another independant will be consigned to the history books - but it does gives us more NW buses to report on!!

Aparantly Preston Bus drivers will be given job security for 2yrs and the ones that have shares stand to make £30,000 each. I bet one of the first changes we will see will be the removal of the farebox vaults, and replaced with change giving trays.

yeah I was ran for the 2a lol just caught it. Sore the 556 come in but wasn't paying attention.

I though PB voted tomorrow and Stagecoach take over on the 23rd. It will happen lets face it they have all ready made plans for the move the voting is just for the sake of it. I imagine everything except the corporate livery will be Stagecoach.

If it goes ahead, from midnight PB will become a Stagecoach subsidary. It will obviously take time to disband.

The vote IS on Thursday and Preston Bus WILL become part of Stagecoach on Friday. There are two senior Stagecoach staff coming to Deepdale Road on Friday to meet the various staff members in groups - management ; drivers ; engineering ; office & supervisory staff. Only the middle two have job protection for two years. Chris Bowles [from Carlisle] & Les Warnford [from Perth] are coming. I understand that preparations are in hand to remove the Preston Bus fleetnames & legal address off all vehicles over the weekend and have Stagecoach names applied. Take a look from Monday next time any of you are in Preston
